Beginning of The Journey..

I glanced around the dormroom that was going to be where I'd be spending a lot of my time over the next couple years at Hogwarts. I wasn't upset with my decision to transfer here. Pushing myself up off of my bed, I stretched my long arms above my head. Without much of a moments thought, I grabbed my jacket and slipped it on. Time to explore a bit, and get used to everything.

Leaving the castle, I inhaled the cool air, letting it settle into my lungs as my long legs carried me forward. I didn't exactly have any particular destination in mind, but I wasn't too bothered by it. Listening to the crunc h of the snow beneath my booted feet, I slid my hands into my pockets, wandering along the unfamiliar path toward the courtyard.

Jay was terribly bored at the castle. He hadn't seen his girlfriend, not even his bestfriend...but he had too many things in mind, too many things to think about. Feeling mad iside the castle he decided to make his way arounf the courtyard, so he put on some jeans, a t-shirt, a sweater, and a jacket over them, he took his scarf and gloves and went out.

It was cold and everyone seemed to be inside next to a warm fireplace. He lost himself into his thoughts while walking. After a while he decided that he would probably be better inside doing something else, so he took his way back to the castle, again los in his thoughts, when he suddenly hit someone accidentally. He looked at who he had hit seeing a nice girl he hadn't seen before.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I was thinking in other things, are you okay?" he asked politely.

I continued walking along at a slow pace, my eyes downcast, and my head bent downward. I continued watching my booted feet sinking down in the snow, allowing my thoughts to travel elsewhere. I wasn't too bothered by the fact that I hadn't met anyone here yet, I knew it would happen eventually. Nothing to worry about. Eventually I began thinking of classes, and with everything else, I wasn't paying even the slightest attention...

In the next moment, I was suddenly colliding with something solid. Gasping in surprise, I was knocked back a few inches. My hands flew out of my pockets as I made a desperate attempt to catch my balance, and I was able to just barely keep myself upright. I exhaled, running my fingers through my messy blonde hair anxiously as I looked up to see who it was I had run into.

Seeing a rather handsome boy looking back at me, I offered him a sheepish smile instead of getting embarrassed. "Oh, its alright. I'm sorry too." I replied in my friendly way, allowing my eyes to meet his. "Yeah, I'm fine thanks. Almost said hello to the ground though." I said with a small laugh. That was how I was. Easy going, joking, and he seemed nice enough..

I paused before offering him my bare hand. "I'm Emmaleah Montague. You can just call me Emmy." I said easily.

Jay smiled when she said everthing was okay and laughed at her joke.

"Well at least it's smooth thanks to the snow" he joked also winking playfully at her. When she offered her hand he shook it gently.

"Nice to meet you, Emmy" he said with a nice smile "I'm Jayden Roosvelt. You can call me Jay" he added introducind himself.

I couldn't help but grin happily when I saw him smile and when I heard his laugh. That let me get a small glimpse of what he was actually like.. perhaps. Either way, I was glad with what I was seeing so far. Made me comfortable acting like myself immediately without a problem.

I laughed when he joked back. "This is true. I guess that means you wouldn't have minded if I brought you down with me by accident?" I said in good humor, winking back. Well, this was fun.

I matched his nice smile with one of my own, and I shook his hand before letting it go, shoving my own back into my jacket pocket. "Nice to meet you as well, Jay." I said easily, then paused as I glanced back up toward the looming Hogwarts castle behind us. "Sorry if I'm keeping you from whatever." I offered, hesitantly beginning to step aside so he could continue on his way. Not that I wanted him to, but I didn't want to be rude or anything.

Jay shrugged and laughed also when she joked back, this was being funny, and the girl seemed to be really nice, without talking about she was really pretty.

When he saw her stepping aside he shook his head and waved his hand in sign that it doesn't mattered.

"No, don't worry, I wasn't about to do anything, just looking for something that made me do something interesting, so I could give my mind a break, I've been thinking too much today" he explained grinning slightly.

I shifted my weight around on either of my legs a bit as the silence settled between us for a brief amount of time, shivering ever so slightly when a gust of wind blew by. I would be very happy when Summer came around once again, that was for sure.

I brought my green eyes up to him once more as I saw him shaking his head and waving his hand about vaguely, and I couldn't help but grin when I realized that he wasn't going anywhere. I felt my head tilting to the side a bit, my brows pulling together ever so slightly as I listened to him explaining himself.

"Well.. I can help with that, if you want." I offered with a friendly smile, willing to stick around and talk with him. Not only did I want to get to know him - because it was clear he was a nice guy - but I would help him give his mind a break. "But are you alright?" I added, wanting to make sure before I attempted to bring his thoughts else where.

Jay sighed at her question and finally nodded smiling a bit.

"Yeah, I'm okay, thanks" he said and stepped nearer to her with a smirk "So, how would you help me?" he asked teasingly, shivering slightly at the cold, but he liked cold so he didn't complain at it.

I didn't miss the slight pause in his words before he was sighing and nodding, but if he was telling me that he was alright, it was not my place to push him for further information. Besides, it wasn't any of my business in the first place, I had just wanted to make sure he was okay. "Alright, if you're sure." I said with a small nod, showing him that I was willing to dismiss the subject. "But I'm here if you need anything.. even if we don't know one another too well yet." I added.

I felt one of my perfectly blucked brows arching ever so slightly when he moved closer to me, and I gave him a playful smirk when I heard his words. "Use your imagination." I answered with a wink, but then noticed that he was shivering. I hadn't really been noticing the cold all too much, but then again he was standing in front of me, blocking the wind. "We could start by going for a walk? Moving around always makes me warmer." I said with a small shrug.

Jay raised one of his eyebrows at her words but kept the smirk on his face, and after his shiver he couldn't help but laughed a bit at her words.

"Sure, I guess it's getting a bit cold" he said and turned around starting to walk down the courtyard again waiting for her to come by his side "So my imagination, huh? I warn you that I'm a bit dirty-minded" he said teasingly sticking his tongue out at her.

I ducked my head a bit in order to hide my amused smile from Jay once I saw his reaction to my words. As soon as I heard him laughing though I didn't bother hiding it, laughing along with him. Nodding slightly when he agreed with my suggestion, I slipped my small hands into my jacket pockets before I began walking forward, coming up on Jay's side and falling into step with him.

So far it was so fun and easy to talk with him, and I was enjoying myself. I knew if we kept things up, we'd grow to be quick friends, no problem. I glanced in his direction when I heard him bringing up my previous words, and I couldn't help but laugh once more. "Got that stuck in your mind, don't you?" I teased playfully. "Dirty minded?" I repeated, my brow raising.

My eyes met his in clear amusement as he stuck his tongue out at me. "Good, that makes it even better." I taunted with a grin, my steps slowing slightly but I continued to stay on the side of him.

Jay laughed a bit at her words while they walked, and nodded playfully when she repeated his words.

He offered him an innocent smile when he noticed that she was slowing her steps, so he slowed his also, looking at her curiously.

He rised an eyebrow at her words but again a smirk appeared in his face. "How so?" he asked looking at her with amusement.

I was glad that I was able to make him laugh, especially when it was accompanied by a smile. He had such a cute one, it was hard not to smile back whenever I saw it. I took in his now innocent smile he was offering me, but I gave my head a small shake. "That innocent look doesn't fool me for one moment." I scolded with a playful grin.

I met his curious gaze with one of my own, ignoring his raised eyebrow as I continued to stroll forward. The amusement was evident on his features, and I was rather enjoying it. "Because it's funnier that way." I replied simply, not giving him any room to use his "dirty" imagination. "Although feel free to share with me what you came up with, you naughty boy you." I teased with a wink, laughing as I spoke.

Jay grinned. He was passing a really good time with her, it was being really amusing and he was forgetting for a while about his mind break and other problems. He winked at her playfully again.

"Sure I will" he said teasingly sticking his tongue out at her and poked her side playfully looking again at her "So how where you going to entertain me?" he asked rising an eyebrow but still smiling.

Almost immediately, I was returning the grin that I saw on his handsome face. His expression was much different from when I'd first run into him - now, he just looked more happier, and I was glad. He seemed like such a nice guy, not someone who should be bothered by hurtful thoughts.

Once again a perfectly plucked brow rose when he winked at me, but it wasn't long before I was winking back. "Good, you better." I replied before sticking my tongue out back at him, laughing as I did so. I loved how we were acting like we'd known each other forever instead of just over an hour. It was fun though, and I didn't mind in the least. I hoped he didn't either.

I made a face at him when he poked me, giggling as I danced out of his reach after poking him back. "I'm ticklish, that's not nice." I scolded playfully, but rolled my eyes in good nature when he brought up me entertaining him. "You keep bringing that up, Mr. Eager." I said with a smirk.

"I can think of a few ways, but I'm afraid none of them are deemed appropriate." I said with a sheepish grin. "So I guess I'll just have to think of something else.." I said with a shrug.

Jay smiled playfully when she called him 'Eager'. Okay, he should addmit that he was a bit, but he was really having a good time with Emmy, he was enjoying her company. When she talked again he rised an eyebrow and smirked. When she shrugged, Jay poked her again repeatedly in clear amusement and looked at her with an innocent pout.

"Tell me what were you thinking..." he said trying to keep his pout as real as possible and not start laughing.

I could tell from the look on his face that he truly seemed to be having a good time with me, and that made me happy. I enjoyed seeing him smiling and knowing I'd been able to put it there. Hopefully I could keep doing what I'd promised, keeping his thoughts on me and not on what had been bothering him before.

Before I knew it he was smirking and poking me repeatedly and I gave a small pout, swatting at his hands playfully. "Jay! You're being evil." I said with a small whine, but I was smiling as I spoke. Deciding that simply swatting at his hands wasn't doing the job I grabbed at them, holding either of his hands in my own with a look of triumph. "Now what're you gonna do? Hmm?" I taunted with a grin.

Noticing he was still giving me an adorable pout though, I gave an exaggerated sigh. "Oh, Jay.." I mused with a small shake of my head. I could tell he was amused and trying not to laugh. And besides, things were innocent enough.. without another moments thought I stood on my tip toes and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Along the lines of what I was thinking.. just slightly more inappropriate. Since you insisted on knowing." I replied with a smirk, before turning as I began walking again. I hoped he didn't get mad for what I'd just done. After all, it was all in play.

Jay chuckled when she grabbed his hands and tried slightly to release from her hold, but it wasn't possible, at least he didn't want to try more, this was getting even funnier in every second that passed.

At her musement he stared at her still pouting, expecting what move would she make the next. When he felt her lips against his cheek he couldn't help but blushed. 'Yea that happens when you play with fire...' his awesome mind reminded him. He couldn't help but smiled a bit after her kiss. Okay it was enough to have three girls in his mind break, but it really wasn't time to think about that, and after all Emmy and he were just playin.

When he came back to Earth he noticed that she had started to walk again, no he walked by her quickly, and when he was by her side he wrapped one of his arms over her shoulders and also kissed her cheek with a grin.

"Kisses are always a nice way of entertainment" he joked a bit winking at her, releasing his wrap over her.

Glancing back toward Jay as I walked forward a few steps ahead of him, I noticed he hadn't yet moved. Slowing down and turning back to him, I took note of the blush on his cheeks, and the small smile on his lips. I was sort of relieved when I saw that, because I hadn't wanted him to be angry with me. Because after all, we were just playing. I was still wondering why he was standing in place though, not following after me.

Turning once more to start walking again (because I figured he would follow me), it wasn't long before I heard his steps behind me. And then he was suddenly on the side of me, and in the next moment I felt his strong arm around my shoulder. I blinked in surprise as I came to a stop, and the next thing I knew, I felt his lips on my cheek. Almost immediately the color rose in them as I blushed, but I had a grin on my face. I hadn't expected his actions, but they were a pleasant surprise to say the least.

"I couldn't agree with you more." I stated when he said that kisses were always a nice way of entertainment. I was still blushing a bit as I stood there, biting my lip and looking at him, but soon I just shrugged and began walking again.

After a few moments I glanced over to him again. "So Jay.." I began casually. "Tell me a little bit about yourself? I'd like to get to know my handsome company a little bit better." I teased with a wink, but I honestly did want to get to know him. He seemed like a great guy.

Jay grinned at her blush. She was really looking sweet with the pinkish tone on her cheeks and he laughed slightly when she agreeded with his words.

They stared each other for some seconds, like if they should have wanted more, or that was what seemed in their looks, but the moment was broken when she started to walk, and he walked behind her listening at her question curiously and thinking about a nice answer.

"Well I'm from Oxford, I have a really cute little sister. I'm here because my parents thought that I was going out of the right way, you know, I like party, smoking, alcohol, girls....but now I've been dating with a girl for a few months. Things aren't good now but...she is still my girlfriend and I love her" he said glancing to the ground with a frown trying not to lose himself again in his mind break. Finally he looked back at her with a grin "Something concrete you wanna know about me?" he asked

I couldn't help hut think that if I hadn't walked away from him, what might have happened. I tried not to linger on the thoughts, pulling my attention back to reality as he began to answer my question. I did wonder why he was choosing to walk behind me.. I didn't question him about it for now, glancing back. I was clearly interested in what he was saying. I nodded every so often to let him know that I was listening, and to encourage him to tell me whatever he wanted. I wanted Jay to know that he could trust me.. it was weird, but I didn't mind it.

Without being able to help it, I frowned slightly when he told me he had a girlfriend. But of course. I should have figured, with him being such a great guy. "Lucky girl." I mused with a small sigh, but I heard the sadness in his voice when he spoke of the rough time they were going through. I didn't like hearing him sad, and even though he was grinning again, I disregarded his question for a moment. "Hey, Jay?" I began, turning around and stopping so I could see him. "I know that we haven't known one another that long, but I do hope we become great friends." I paused before adding. "And if you needa talk about anything, I'm here for you." I said, giving him a smile. I hoped I hadn't freaked him out by saying that, but I didn't think I would.

I paused before I stepped forward, and then I slipped my arms around his waist in a quick hug. "By the way.. you liking what you see from the back? I can't see why else you'd be walking so far behind me." I said with a playful wink. I was joking of course. Just my way of tossing some comic relief into the situation.

He rised an eyebrow when he saw her frown and listened to her mutter and her sigh. Well it seemed that Emmy shoul have prefeared him single, and sincerly in that very moment he would have liked to be the same as a year before: Nice girl, nice sex, nice friendship and that was all, without any worry. But now all was too difficult, and he couldn't help but smiled at her words. Emmy was a nice girl and he also hoped they'd become good friends.

He was surprised when she hugged him, but Jay couldn't help and hugged back. Hugs was what we eas needing in that moment so he hugged her back tightly and offered her a bright grin, laughing hardly at her words.

"Well, probably you have a nice ass" he said playfully winking at her and chuckled "Sorry, it's just a bad habit" he added with a smile and moved to her side starting to walk again, still trying not think in what could have just passed a frew minutes before.

I was a bit surprised when I felt how tightly Jay was hugging me back, but I responded by applying a bit more pressure myself. I had a feeling he needed hugs at that very moment, and I knew I would be happy to oblige for him. For some reason I felt a need to make him feel better, and I wasn't sure why. I wasn't really going to question it though, because there really was no use. Pulling back slightly, I gave him one of my dazzling grins in response to his own bright one.

I couldn't help but laugh when I heard his comment, and I shook my head slightly in amusement. "No need to be sorry, it's there for your viewing." I teased with a wink back, before falling into step beside him. I couldn't resist adding - "And just so you know, it's not the only nice thing about me." I said a bit suggestively, glancing at him to see what his reaction would be.

"Maybe if you're lucky I'll let you find out about the rest." I mused, then continued to walk along innocently like I hadn't just left an offer out in the open for him. "That is, if you think you can handle it." I finished. I was curious to see what he would say though. I knew it would have me laughing.

He couldn't help but smirked at her words and stopped his steps again, rising again an eyebrow in clear amusement.

"Who do you think you are talking with?" he asked still smirking "I can handle you and three more" he added siticking his tongue out at her and then glanced her body blatantly, from her eyes to her chest, her hips, her legs and again her ass, running his eyes up again to her lips, her hair and finally meeting her gaze again. "And for what I can see I'm pretty sure that you ass isn't the only nice thing you have" he said winking "Besides, you are cool, which is a nice thing also" he added with a chuckle.

I wasn't really sure what sort of reaction I was hoping for with my slightly outrageous words. I wasn't even quite sure what had me turning so..bold. And for a mere few seconds, I almost feared I had gone a bit too far when I noticed him stopping. Sliding my lower lip in between my two rows of straight teeth, I stopped as well, a step or two ahead of him. Turning slightly, I could feel the relief spreading throughout my body when I saw the clear amusement on his face.

One of my perfectly plucked eyebrows rose in return as he asked me who I thought I was talking to. I smirked deviously, continuing to bit on my lower lip in a rather cute way. "Oh.. I'm pretty certain I'm talking to the sexy Jay Roosvelt." I replied with a playful wink, a small laugh leaving my parted lips. Hearing his words just caused me to laugh a bit more in amusement. "Oh really?" I questioned, taking a small step closer to him almost challengingly. "What happens if I don't believe you?" I taunted teasingly. "I think you just might have to prove it." I said simply.

And then the next thing I knew, he was very obviously checking me out, and I could feel the blush rising in my cheeks before I could help it. But I didn't hesitate to strike a playful pose, laughing but grinning when I heard him agreeing with me. Then hearing him add that I was cool. "Why thank you." I said honestly, the blush still slightly coloring my cheeks. But in the next moment I was playfully blowing him a kiss. "You're pretty cool yourself. With plenty of your own nice.." I let myself trail off teasingly as I glanced over him much like he'd done to me. Instead if finishing my sentence, I just looked up into his face again, a mischievous smile still playing with the corners of my lips.
