| Making his way through the Ministries many levels in his confident stride, Maverick nodded here and there to those he was acquainted with, or knew some level or basis. Today he had some business to attend to regarding the upcoming year at Hogwarts. In reality, he merely had a few ideas or suggestions, if you will, to offer. And so he headed to level three, where the Hogwarts School Committee could be found, for a meeting with the head of the department, Bruce McDowny. Maverick had never met the man before unfortunately, so he didn't have much to go off of as far as how to broach the subject. But Maverick was a smart bloke, and did well in all situations, so he wasn't exactly worried about it.
Finding the office of McDowney, Maverick paused outside the door, and lifted his hand to knock lightly on it. He was nothing if not polite. |

| After his trip to Spain with Mary, it was time to head back to work. So that early morning, when he got up he had sent an owl to Mary inviting her to have luch with him and then he had headed to the Ministry, getting a coffee at a nearby Starbucks.
When he got into his office he started to move papers, he had so much accumulated work to do that he really didn't know where to start. Half an hour later, with his coffee cup empty and his papers finally put in some kind of order, he heard a knock on his door. "Come in" he said loud enough to be heard from outside and he took some of the papers starting to read them, thinking it would be one of his workers who had knocked.

| Hearing the 'come in', that told him to enter, Maverick took hold of the doorknob and turned it, pushing open the door. Moving through the doorway, he glanced around casually, shutting the door behind him lightly. His eyes came to a halt on the man who he took to be the man he came to see. He certainly looked at home in the office, so that made Maverick think he was. But either way, it was always good to double check. "Bruce McDowney, I take it?" |

| Bruce heard the door opening and then how it shutted closed, something strange for his workers to do, but he didn't glance up until he heard a strange voice. He looked up at the man that had got in his office and he merely nodded at his question.
"Sure. Who do I have the pleasure to be meeting?" he asked with a serious look in his face, not used to stranger guys to approach his office.

| Maverick noted the nod he received and was glad to have a face to put with the name. "Rather nice setup you got here." He commented, indicating the office and allowing his gaze to roam around once more, before addressing the other mans' question. "Oh right." He gave a light hearted chuckle. "Where are my manners? Kingston. Maverick Kingston." He offered his hand out to the other guy. "I know we haven't met before, and I'm terribly sorry to just drop in on you, but i had an idea regarding this upcoming term at Hogwarts that I think you might find rather interesting. I myself was a teacher there last term, and I've been giving it some thought and finally decided to run it by you." Maverick explained in a seemingly open and friendly way. |

| Bruce shook the guy's hand as he introduced himself. Listening to his words, he frowned, not liking at all how his words sounded. He was quite sceptical to those kind of offers, but he couldn't help the curiosity that Maverick had awaken inside him, so he motioned the guy to take a seat in front of him.
"Okay so what are you thinking about?" he merely asked not being too talkative, but he wanted to know what the guy wanted of him.

| Maverick nodded and took the seat he was motioned to, giving a rather grateful look to the other guy for atleast being willing to hear him out on the matter. "Well I couldn't help but think during my time as professor at Hogwarts that it lacked a certain....competitive appeal. I mean, as far as academics goes. Of course they have Quidditch, and that's all good. But I was thinking more along the lines of something that tests them both magically and mentally. Testing their knowledge, and what they've learned." Maverick paused to allow the other gentleman time to process that information, and the direction he were heading, before getting to the point. |

| Bruce listened to him paying him all his attention. He remembered the times he was at Hogwarts, when he was a quite stupid Slythering teenager that wanted to be the best in everything. So what the guy was saying really sounded interesting for him, even he still was sceptical to his intentions. The gentleman seemed to be quite too nice, but eventhough he wantet to hear the whole story.
"Hm...sounds quite interesting, Mr. Kingston, continue please" he said getting more confortable in his own seat.
