| The tugging she felt in her stomach was now a familiar feeling to Morgaine, it always happened whenever she was near the forbidden forest; it had nothing to do with the fact that it was forbidden or that she was alone at night, she knew no one would question her about what she was doing so close to the forest, but still there was that alien and sometimes strong feeling inside her that pulled her almost against her will toward that place.
She wasn't trying to go to that place, in fact it was a surprise for her, to find herself walking absent-mindedly right into the place she always tried to avoid. She had been thinking about her future, or lack of it; she still didn't know what she wanted to do with her life, she didn't feel prepared to face the responsibilities of adulthood. Her parents wanted her to move out as soon as she graduated and find a job; in their narrow minds they didn't even think about the possibility of choosing a career and study some more, since she had refused to marry the perfectly boring -yet, amazing in her parents eyes- boy they had 'matched' her with, her parents decided that she was no longer a member of the family; not that she really minded of course, but there were a lot of things to consider once she could no longer live in Hogwarts.
And then, there was Alex, she didn't know what to tell him, not because she didn't trust him or anything, but Morgaine didn't want to worry him. And in between those thoughts, she found herself on the very edge of the Forbidden forest, wishing Alex was there and she could touch him once again.

| Alex wasn't exactly sure of what the time was, but what he was sure of was that he wasn't staying in the castle. Changed out of the school uniform that he'd never been a particular fan of wearing, he sent an owl to his sister explaining he was going out for a while, and that he wasn't sure when he'd be back. Honestly, he just wanted to be alone for a while, sort out his thoughts and get all of his feelings back into the right place. It had been forever since he'd felt at ease with his life, or felt truly happy with how things were going. It was his last year at Hogwarts, and he wasn't even sure of what he wanted to do with his life. That was one thing weighing him down. Another thing was that he wasn't sure if he could live up to his families extraordinarily high expectations without crumpling under the pressure. His relationship with his twin, his best friend, was extremely hindered as of late, and then there was his relationship with his girlfriend.... Morgaine. Her name echoed across his mind and he felt himself sighing without warning.
He wasn't sure how long it had been since he'd seen her. He never realized how much of an effect she'd had on him until her absence in his life. It was insane, how much one person could change your way of life. Not talking to her everyday had been especially hard to grasp, and not being able to kiss her and hug her was even worse. Not being able to see her bright smile, gorgeous face, or hear her musical laugh.. he made a small face at his thoughts. Since when had he turned into such a sap? Right.. ever since he'd fallen in love when he'd least expected it. Running a hand through his shaggy hair he found that he'd wandered in the direction of the forbidden forest. Why, he wasn't exactly sure, but his gut had been telling him to go in this particular direction.. and that was the reason why he did.
He continued wandering along, stepping around overgrown tree roots and listening to all of the sounds around him. He wasn't at all prepared for the next few moments.. as he glanced up, he caught sight of a figure. He was about to just shrug and dismiss it as no one of importance when something made him do a double take.. he could feel his heartbeat quickening even before he'd realized who it was. Anxiously he took a few steps forward, his eyes widened slightly and his body singing with excitement. Could it maybe be... had he gotten lucky?

| There was a tug in her stomach when she thought of Alex, and a smile crept up her face, the way it always did whenever she thought of him, or was with him, it had been almost over a year now and she couldn’t believe how lucky she was, she had found her perfect match, he was everything she needed and more. She chuckled amused by her own lack of concentration; it was now a usual thing: whenever Alex drifted into her thoughts, everything else disappeared… she was getting used to that now, but when it started, she was really scared, maybe that was the reason why she them drift apart the last few months, still, her heart skipped a beat every time he appeared in her mind; she could picture every aspect of him even his voice saying her name.
And then she heard it: “Morganie” and she was sure it wasn’t just her imagination; turning around she searched for the source of the voice, and like out of a cliché movie, the owner of her thoughts was standing there, with a slightly confused look on his face. Without wasting another second she started running towards him with a huge smile; she jumped in his arms and whispered ‘I’ve missed you so much’ right before she kissed him.

| Alex continued to stand where he was, completely motionless although his girlfriend wasn't exactly that far away from him. His feet felt like they were rooted to the spot, his legs incapable of moving him forward even if he wanted to. All he could do was gaze wordlessly at the figure as it turned around, and sure enough he realized it was Morgaine staring back at him. He was overwhelmed by the sudden emotions that crashed into his body but he was aware of her huge grin before she was running for him. He wasn't even sure how he managed to tell his brain to open his arms up in order to catch her as she jumped into his arms. Yet the moment he felt her familiar body against his was when he seemed to wake up from the hypnotic state he'd been in. It was really Morgaine.. Merlin, finally.
His arms wrapped around her tightly as he easily supported her weight, and he didn't have time to answer her before she was kissing him. He felt himself getting lost in the feeling and taste of her lips, having missed it oh so much.. he kissed her for a long time, breaking away briefly to catch his breath each time but beginning to kiss her seconds later. After a good couple of minutes though he finally pulled back completely, giving her a goofy sort of grin. "I missed you so much Morgaine.. I don't even think you understand.." He muttered, still holding her tightly in his arms and easily holding her up. He gave her another kiss, although it was sweet and gentle. "How have you been?" He whispered against her lips, smirking seconds after. It felt so amazing having her this close again.. hearing her voice, feeling her lips.. finally.
