Grading, Attendance, Homework, etc.

Description:

Involves a person, or persons using a magical object, bewitched with a Flying Spell, to journey through the air to another location.

Expectations:

- Students are to respect each other and myself when ever they are in the class room, if this is ignored points will be taken and if needed detentions handed out.
- Students must always come to class on time or points will be taken, if students are consistently late for no liable reasons, eventually detentions will be passed out.
- Follow instructions for safety reasons take careful consideration to the demonstrations. Injuries caused by students careless or inattentiveness will result in loss of points or detentions.
- Notes need to be taken; this should be done even if the subject does not interest you, especially the older students, you will not pass your tests if you do not take notes.

Attendance:

- Students must attend each lesson, your grades will be assessed on your attendance record so if you do not show up to the lessons your grade will be lowered. This also includes participating in class. Students will also be assessed on their participation to class discussions and their interaction with their peers.
- If students are unable to make it to the class please contact me, before the lesson begins.

Homework:

Homework will be a regular occurrence and will most likely be assigned at the end of each lesson. Late submissions will not be accepted unless students have a signed note from their parent or guardian explaining why they could not compete it and are expected to hand in the assigned homework the next day. If students fail to do this they will automatically be given a 0 mark.

Grading:

Each lesson you can get a minimum of 20 points. For creativity you can get extra points. Your final exam is worth 30 points. Below you will see my point system:

- Attendance: 4 points
- Participation: 10 Points
- Homework: 6 Points
- Final Exam: 30 Points

Your final grade is based out of 100 points. You need at least an Acceptable to pass this class.

Passing

O - Outstanding: 90-100
E - Exceeds Expectations: 80-89
A - Acceptable: 70-79

Failing

P - Poor: 50-69
D - Dreadful: 30-49
T - Troll: 0-29
