Aubrey had really enjoyed her time at Hogwarts and was now a mother of a beautiful, amazing, perfect baby girl. Melody made her days better than she ever could have imagined. She looked more and more like her father everyday. The resemblance was really uncanny. It was June 2057 and Melody was now ten months old. The time went by so quickly that sometimes Aubrey got really sad. She felt as if time went by too fast. Two months after Melody was born, Aubrey went back to work. Luckily, she was allowed to bring Melody to work with her. Aubrey couldn't imagine going to work without her daughter.
The first couple of months of Melody's life were really hard for Aubrey. She loved her daughter with her whole heart, but unfortunately suffered postpartum depression. She wanted to be there for Melody as much as she couldn't but was too sad to do anything really. The first month was the worst and then things gradually got better. It was hard for her raising the baby without Nikolai. One day her mother came down and had a talk with Aubrey. She reminded her that she was a mother and the Headmistress at Hogwarts; now was not the time to crumble. Aubrey was always a strong woman and this time shouldn't differ from the rest.
In May 2057, the French Ministry contacted her and asked if she would transfer and be the Beauxbatons Headmistress. Apparently their Headmistress had just retired and they had heard amazing things about Aubrey. They heard she did an impeccable job with Hogwarts and couldn't wait to meet her. A few days later, she and Melody took a trip to France. Immediately, Aubrey knew that's where she wanted to be. The change of atmosphere would be great for herself and for Melody. There were too many memories back home that she really didn't want to deal with. Moving seemed like the best thing in the world for her to do. It would be great to meet the new batch of students.
In the past month, Aubrey had sold her house and packed up everything. The move to France excited her. It did make her sad to leave because she did love all of the Hogwarts students. They were all great kids. There were many issues but there were issues in every school. Hogwarts was one chapter of Aubrey's life and was now completed. Now to get her life on and move to France. Melody Juliana would grow up in a new, beautiful, atmosphere. Her mom vowed to spoil her daughter as best she could no matter what.
