My office!

Mary was sitting at her table, her long black hair almost covering her face as she was writing a letter. The radio was playing a Muggle rock song in the background and she was tapping her foot in the rythm under the table.
Above the music, she heard a knock and lifted her head up to see who came to see her.

"Come in, please!"

Jay felt like in the mood of making his way down to professor's McNeely office and have a little talk with her, maybe she would be able to give him some advice about his future as he wanted to me a magizoologist.

So he walked down there and knocked softly the door hoping for her to be there. As he heard her voice he opened the door and entered with a soft smile.

"Hi, professor" he mused politely and glancing down to her table seeing some papers, she seemed to be writing something "Maybe I should come back later?" he asked.

Mary smiled at Jayden and pointed her wand at the radio to turn the music off so they'll be able to hear each other. Shaking her head at his question, she quickly put the letter away, it wasn't anything important anyway.
"Hello, Mr. Roosvelt! No, not at all, come in. What brings you here?" she asked while getting a tin of cookies out of her drawer. Funny, how so many things can fit in one small drawer if you use magic.
"Sit down, please. A cookie?"

Jay smiled softly at her words and took a sit in front of her, taking a cookie a bit shyly and eating it before saying anything.
"I need some advice...I wan't to talk about my future" he said looking up at her eyes "I mean, I want to be a magizoologist, I couldn't think about anyone better than you to give me some advice" he explained

Mary waited for Jayden to eat the cookie and didn't say anything untill he spoke, she didn't want him to feel uncomfortable. When he told her what he wanted, a grin appeared on her face and she nodded at his words.
"That's great Mr. Roosvelt! I'm happy you chose that for your career, I can tell you it's really great. Well, you'll need very good marks in Care of Magical Creatures and it would help very much if you had good marks at Herbology, also. After Hogwarts, there's a program in Edinburgh that you can join, it's all about magical creatures and they can help you get a job afterwards." she told him, taking a cookie herself.

Jay listened to the teacher and couldn't help but facepalmed as she said he would need herbology. Geez he had dropped that subject that last year. But the program in Edinburgh...Merlin that sounded exactly what he needed. Dissapear from Oxford, London, and away of Hogwarts, free time for him. Yes, that plan was amazing.

"My grades aren't so bad at Care of Magical Creatures, are they?" he asked looking at her with puppy eyes nomming another cookie. "I'm really interested on that Edinburgh programm, professor, I'd love more information about it and maybe...some help...to get there" he asked awkwardly.

Mary shook her head at his question, chuckling. Poor boy seemed terrified. She got a bit worried when he facepalmed, but figured he'll ask for help if he'll need any.
"No, your grades are excellent. And I saw you're good with animals, so it probably won't be a problem for you to become a Magizoologist." she told him with a kind smile.

"That program is really great, it teaches you how to work with magical creatures. Sick, grumpy, happy, nasty, everything. It's basically like CoMC here, but more advanced, of course and you get much more experience, I can't let you kids do everything here, you know. I can get in touch with them and ask what exactly you should do to get in there if you want. And don't worry, I'll help you as much as I can, I'm thrilled somebody else likes working with magical creatures!" the witch grinned at the boy.

As she said his grades were excellent, a happy-proud smile appeared on Jay's lips and his eyes sparkled in pure happiness. Listening to her, his eyes sparkled even more when she said she would get in touch with the people at the program and that she'd help him as much as she could.

"Thanks, really, thanks professor, I'm willing for all the information" he said happily. He felt like bouncing around excitedly, but that would be a bit awkward do he just kept his ass stuck to the chair he was sitting on. "Hmm..you think I can still sign up for herbology?" he asked with a small frown "I just decided to drop that subject for this year, but I'll pick it up if it's necessary"

She grinned brightly when she saw the smile on his face and took another cookie. When she saw how excited he was, Mary remembered how she was when her professor told her she could be doing what she loved for the rest of her life and she was really pleased now that she was able to tell the same to Jayden.

"I'll tell you everything they'll tell me." she smiled and took a bite of the cookie. "I don't know bout that, but you only really need Herbology to be able to tell the poisonous plants from the edible ones so you wouln't kill any animals giving them the wrong herbs or something. Herbology would help you a lot, but you can learn that in that program in Edinburgh when you'll be taking care of the creatures. But you can ask professor if you can take it this year if you want."

Jay relaxed as she told him he could learn Herbology later and a goof grin was wandering on her lips. If it hadn't been so awkward he could have stood up and kissed her. Instead of that he stood up and hugged her tightly.

"Thanks, professor, I won't dissapoint you" he promised with a nod and a smile. "Now I think I should stop bothering you, just owl me when you get in touch with that people" he said smiling. He needed to go and tell Emmy, and Gwen....no, not Gwen. He didn't know if he wanted to see her again or not after what she'd done to him. BUT, Emmy needed to know, he knew she'd be as happy as he was at that moment.
