Vega's Office

Derek pushed the door to his office open. He had been looking for a job lately, and what luck, he found himself working with the department of magical games and sports. Good thing too. He was a major fanatic when it came to sports, but then again, what male did not enjoy the occassional tossing of a ball and flyaing around and trying to score?

Placing his box of few personal items, he pulled out his flask from her coat and took a swig from it. Alcohol. Such an enjoyable drink but not quite his friend. Sighing out softly, he grinned. Now to meet new people.

Trying to get back into the swing of things, Logan went out early to get the Honeydukes basket to bring to the new employee. It seemed that lately there were a large amount of the employees and Logan was glad that so many people were interested in the government. She loved her office and department more than anything and was glad others felt the same way about their own.

Skipping up to Level Three, she scanned the offices until she came to the name of the employee. Wasn't there some woman at Hogwarts with the same last name? The one who invited all those people to that party Logan didn't feel like attending? Logan shrugged the thought away and knocked on the door waiting for the man inside to answer.

Derek took another swig of his whiskey before hearing a knock at his door. A nice welcome hello to the ministry? Well that was what he guessed. Shrugging slightly, he walked over to the door and pulled it open, exposing a pretty woman. "Hello," he remarked with a smile, "Would you like to come in?" he offered, motioning for her to come in.

Destiny walked down the hallway and slowed her pace as she reached her destination, she had thought it was best to meet her co-workers and was planning on familiarizing herself with the people and the layout of the building. She was surprised when she saw another woman in the doorway with, Derek (was it?), she shrugged the more the merrier, she continued towards both people "Hello" She greeted both of them "My names Destiny, I just started here, I'll be working in the Department of Magical Games and Sports" She said happily.

Derek smiled and nodded at the new woman. She took her hand and kissed it gently before motioning for her to enter as well. "Pleasure Destiny, and likewise on the job," he winked with a small shrug. He was going to like this place.

Destiny raised a brow as the other kissed her hand but said nothing, her lip twitched as he winked at her trying to resist the urge to smile, instead she opted to enter the room silently, the witch took in the features of the office as she waited on the other two to enter behind her. Turning away from the comfortable office she focused her attention on Derek and Logan, "Have you two been working here long?" She asked both curiously.

Derek walked in further into his office, leaving the door open if others wished to join as he leaned against the wall casually. "No. Only just recently actually. Though I am looking forward to working here. Seems like fun, don't you think?" he asked Destiny, as they now were going to be working together.

Destiny smiled at the male as he answered and nodded at his question "Definitely seems like fun, would be odd if it weren't considering we're in the Games and Sports Department." She grinned wryly "I'm really looking forward to working here, it'll be interesting to see how much it differs from my other jobs" She continued happily.

Derek gave a smirk and a nod. "Ah you definitely got a point there. Would not seem right to be bored when we work with one of the, what I deem, as the more exciting departments," he retorted with a grin, "Right there with you. I love sports but never have had the chance to work with them, about time I figure," he chuckled.

Destiny smiled nodding as he understood what she was talking about "Well I'm sure the Auror Department and the Department of Mysteries would be deemed more exciting, but I think Sports and Games would seem more appealing for those who don't want the added risks and dangers" She continued, helping herself into a seat as she spoke.

Destiny chuckled at Derek's comment "Definitly about time, I loved sports when I was a kid, I still do, but I never enjoyed any of my jobs much because they never gave me the same feeling I get when talking or doing something with sports" Destiny cut herself off as she realized she was getting too personal before settling for placing a smile on her features.

Derek chuckled and gave a slight nod as he shrugged his shoulders. "Oh, well there is that. I mean it is fun and all, but I think I would rather stay with sports and games. Risks are entertaining, but I like to know that I won't nesseccarily die if I play the game," he retorted with a grin as he watched her take a seat.

Nodding in agreement, Derek smiled. "Likewise. There is certainly nothing better than doing something you love. Sports is a passion, why not pursue it?" He winked at Destiny.

Destiny nodded at Derek's words, agreeing "But thats not to say that the sport isn't dangerous, one good knock to the head by a bludger and it could do you some serious damage," she continued lightly. She listened once again as Derek spoke and smiled, choosing to ignore the wink "Exactly what I was thinking, it definitely beats sitting behind a desk regretting taking the job"

Derek nodded his head in agreement with a chuckle. "Oh too true. Lets just say both have their danger zones," he smiled, downing a quick shot from his flask. "Definitely not my cup of tes. Would rather not be working if I was stuck with the only option of having to sit behind a desk," he shrugged but continued to smile. "So what is your favourite sport or game?" he questioned curiously.
