Ah, train rides.

Pamala broke off from her brother and walked through the train, her trusty kitten by her side. Once she found an empty compartment, there was no stoping her. She plopped right on down and sat there. She didn't really know if anyone would join her, but then again, who knew those things?

Sodapop jumped up on her lap and began to but her hand with his head.

I wasn't really sure what I was looking for, but I was bored, and this train ride was providing no entertainment so far. With a small shrug I continued walking down the somewhat narrow aisles, until I finally got annoyed with pushing past people.

Stopping at a random door, I decided to let myself in, blinking when I realized it was already occupied by a girl I'd never seen before, and her kitten. I didn't say anything for a few moments, but then I figured, why not talk to her? Never hurt meeting new people.

"Oh, uh.. hey. Sorry. Didn't see anyone else in here." I mused for a moment before continuing. "Mind if I join you?"

Pam looked toward the door when she heard it open, and gave the boy in the doorway a smile.

"Sure," she said when he asked if he could join her. "If you don't mind cats that is."

Sodapop stayed where he was, but eyed the boy as if he was a threat to his mistress.

Seeing the girl smile, I felt my muscles relaxing a fraction. Well, that much was good. That meant she didn't mind that I'd practically just walked in unannounced.

I nodded a bit when she said she didn't mind if I joined, and so I took it upon myself to take the seat opposite of her, chuckling as she mentioned cats. I let my gaze fall down to the one in her lap. "I don't mind them.. but it seems as if he might mind me." I said with a slight smirk, noticing I was being eyed.

I looked back up to the girl after a moment. "I'm Evan Caldwell. Seventh year Slytherin."

"Soda," Pam tapped the kitten's nose with her finger. "Be nice."

Sodapop hopped off her lap and on to the seat next to her. Pam chuckled, her cat could be such a drama king.

"Ignore him," she told Evan. "He's a little odd."

"I'm Pamala Wood." she told Evan. "Six year Gryffindor."

My eyebrow arched ever so slightly as I watched the interaction between the kitten and his owner. My head shook back and forth ever so slightly and I smirked without being to help it as the kitten hopped off of the girl's lap, almost like he was upset. Glancing back up to the girl when she spoke, he chuckled. "Alright, I won't mind him then." I replied easily.

Hearing her name I nodded, storing it in my mind in case I would need it. I didn't think I'd have trouble remembering though, because she was rather pretty. "Interesting. You like the school? I'm a transfer.." I wondered if she'd ask why I was transferring in my seventh year like many others did. But it didn't really matter if she did.

"I do," Pam nodded. "I especially love the classes."

When he said that he was a transfer Pam asked, "Where are you transferring from?" It really wasn't her business why he was transferring but she was curious as to where he was from. Soda's ears also perked up; it seemed even when he was trying to ignore people he had to know what was going on.

I couldn't help but wince a bit when she said that she liked the classes. Hopefully by that was, she liked the people in them and not the school work. I wasn't exactly a fan of school work. I had the intelligence part just fine, I just didn't have the motivation to show it. I was an odd character.

I didn't mind her asking where I was transferring from, and I didn't hesitate before I answered. "Durmstrang." I said with a nod. "Parent's wanted me to go there for some reason." I shrugged in an almost indifferent way.

"So, what classes are you taking?"

Pam smiled a little at him. Again, it wasn't her business why he went to school where he did before he came to Hogwarts.

"I'm taking DADA, Transfiguration, Muggle Cooking, History of Magic, Care of Magical Creatures, Physical Fitness, and Potions," she told him. "I find myself wondering though why I took so many now."
