What I've Done

Jay continued running his fingers through Fallon's hair as she was against him, and little by little he was relaxing even more at that feeling. It was nice to have her so close...tempting, but nice anyways. He chuckled at her words as she sounded to really be falling asleep and he couldn't help a yawn of himself. Finally he also chose closing his eyes and relaxing, even he wasn't tired so he wouldn't fall asleep.

Fallon finally felt at ease enough to fall asleep if only for a moment. It had been weeks, if not a month if she had gotten any real sleep and she was thankful for the potions she had to hide the dark circles under her eyes. That would have only brought more attention on herself and that was the last thing she needed. But as always good things come to an end too quickly and she darted upward suddenly looking around. Her heart felt as if it were going to burst out of her chest and smoothing down her skirt she glanced to Jay with a sigh. She was safe here.

Jay felt Fallon's breathe getting deeper and slower and he figured out she had fallen asleep. He relaxed a bit more, but suddenly she woke up like if she had a nightmare, she looked scared. Jay hugged her tightly.

"Shh shh...calm down...is everything okay?" he asked

Shaking her head she shook free of his arms. Turning around she dropped her legs down off of the couch and braced her elbows against her knees, her head coming to rest against her hands. Closing her eyes she fought to calm her racing heart even though it felt like it was going to explode out of her chest. Nightmare didn't even begin to describe what she had been experiencing in her dream.

"Yeah Yeah I Promise. All Good."

Jay let her shake free of his arms, but looked at her with a frown. Finally he comforted her rubbing her back softly and lovingly. She seemed to be scared, really really scared and Jay was really worried.

"You sure? You don't seem to be okay at all honey" he mused, slowly wrapping one of his arms around her again in a new embrace.

Sitting there silent as a mouse she couldn't help but shake softly as she rocked back and forth for a moment. Keeping her eyes closed tight, why couldn't the dreams go away just for one night. All she wanted to do was feel like she wasn't losing her mind. Shaking her head she didn't moved from her curled up position. "I'm fine really. Its nothing." Still shaking she crumpled back against him as he wrapped his arm around her.

Jay was absolutely sure she wasn't okay, but he wouldn't insist if she didn't want to tell him. He merely hugged her tighter trying to make her stop shaking. Softly he kissed her forehead. He didn't know what to say, and he would have kissed her to comfort her, but he didn't think it was the best option, even he had wanted to since he had seen her there.

Fallon wanted to come clean, to let him know about everything that had happened since that night in the park but she had this feeling it would ruin everything that they had tried to get back after their break-up. So as much as she loved him she kept her secret locked deep within her heart. Fallon was scared that once people found out they would ostracize her like they had many before. Sure this way Jay and she knew he loved her but this was different.. way different. So biting her lip she tucked her head against his chest and tried to control the shaking, and afraid to close her eyes once more. Mumbling she whispered, "I'm sorry Jay you don't need to be witness to.. well I'm sorry."
