| Just outside of Godric's Hollow, there was a small community filled with beautiful and glorious homes. One was home to Trinity Galeotti. 5 Mockingbird Road was the address. Inside there were beautiful spacious rooms. Three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a great kitchen, large backyard. Trinity wasn't alone, she had her puppy Candy by her side at all times...As soon as Trinity arrived at her home, she looked around to make sure everything was in order. She was extremely organized and would've hated if even one thing was out of place. Slowly, she inspected every part of her house and sure enough everything was exactly where it was supposed to be. She was pleased with her kitchen. Once she went through her refrigerator and played around with all the appliances, she decided to go check out her bedroom.
Trinity walked back to her foyer and looked up the stairs before dashing up them. She inspected each bedroom and bathroom as she walked down the hallway. At then end of the long hallway she found her bedroom and opened the door. Immediately a smile came across her face. The room was exactly how she requested. The decorators did really well, that's one thing Trinity couldn't deny.
Once she was done staring at her room in awe, Trinity walked over to her bed and laid down on it. It was extremely comfortable and the comforter was soft even though it looked like it would be rough. It was nice to be in her newly decorated house. Everything was changed upon her getting her job at the Ministry. Her salary had increased so now she could afford to renovate her house and she had done so. Everything looked spectacular and was done quickly. Now all she needed was some house guests and new friends to invite over. |

| Derek had been out an about for the day. Shopping for his sister, getting new clothes for his new job, when he saw a woman walking to her home. Shrugging, he watched her walk into her home as he drove past in his limo. Had to love being rich. Though of course he stopped the driver so he could get out. Making his way up to her front door, he frowned slightly. No wine as a gift. Alas that should get him a free pass to see her again. He knocked on her door, awaiting for her to answer. | |

| After relaxing in her room for a little while, Trinity decided to get off of her bed and go back down into the living room. Some white wine and a slice of cheesecake sounded good to her but she wanted to enjoy her home before going into her freshly stocked refrigerator. Lucky for her, one of the people she hired was kind enough to restock her refrigerator and cabinets. She hoped the employee of hers remembered to get strawberries. Cheesecake topped with strawberries was her favorite dessert.
Just as she stepped on the last step, she heard a knock on her door. Who could possibility be there now? She knew she hadn't invited anyone over. Maybe someone thought she was a new neighbor and decided to bring some kind of dish to welcome her. Just as that thought crossed her mind, she remembered how many neighbors did bring dishes, sweets, and drinks over. Her house was filled for weeks. Still hoping it wasn't anyone "welcoming" her to the neighborhood, Trinity opened the door slowly and spotted a man. "Hi, I'm Trinity, how can I help you?" The man was empty handed which meant he didn't think she was a new neighbor. With that thought, a smile came across her face." |

| Derek pulled down the cuffs of his dress shirt down and fixed the jacket of his suit whilst he waited. As soon as the door opened, he looked over the woman who answered the door. Quite beautiful he had to admit. "Pleasure Trinity, I am Derek," she introduced, taking her hand and kissing it. Such formality and he did it with all women.
He lifted his brow slightly at her question but smirked. "Well I don't need anything in particular, but I figure a glass of wine and a little chit chat won't hurt would it?" he offered with a flashy grin.

| Trinity observed the man in front of her by looking him up and down. She had to admit he was dressed well but still he was just another man. She wasn't so easily persuaded or affected. Once he kissed her hand, she quickly retracted it. "Nice. Smooth, Denied." She smiled sweetly at him. "I don't like the soft gooey stuff just be yourself around me and you'll be ok. I won't fall all over myself for a man, not even you." Although she knew she was being semi-harsh, she had to stand her ground.
Without even a second thought of what had just previously happened, she smiled. "That sounds fine with me. Behave and don't pull another stunt like you just did or you'll find yourself on your butt and your flashy shoes will be filthy." She opened the door more as she backed away. Trinity wasn't one who was easily affected by the opposite sex. Even as a teenager she was a little more cocky than usual. |

| Derek lifted his brow as she pulled her hand away. A simple hello gesture and she turned it down? She was interesting, he had to admit. "Dually noted," he replied with a smile. He was not phased by a reaction like the one Trinity pulled. There were some who were tougher to crack than others. It was what made him look for those tough cookies. He liked a challenge. "I will not be anything but," he remarked simply.
He held up his hand in surrender and chuckled. "I will try my best," he mused in response before walking into her home, looking it over as he entered further. Nice for such a small home. He turned too look at Trinity. Now he had to see what this woman was about.

| Trinity watched with slight satisfaction as Derek's brow lifted at her actions, but she wasn't ashamed by what she'd done. She figured he must have been used to woman falling all over him, and while she would admit he was rather handsome, he was just another attractive face. She had always prided herself on never being easy swayed by the opposite sex, and they didn't seem to complain about it either. She made them work for what they wanted, as it should be. Who wouldn't be willing to do whatever they had to in order to get on her good side? "Good. Glad we're clear." She said in a tone of voice that supported her actions, but she gave him another sweet smile in order to balance it out. Wouldn't have him thinking she was heartless. Even though he didn't appear to be too phased, she dismissed the thought.
This time, it was her turn for a perfectly arched eyebrow to raise as he held up his hand in surrender. "Better hope that your best is good enough then." She taunted with a sort of mischievous glimmer in her eyes. She stepped to the side as he walked in, and she shut the door behind them before she turned to him completely, her hands settling on either of her hips. She watched as he surveyed her home, and her eyes met his almost instantly once he turned back to her. Both of her eyebrows rose now as the silence settled, and after a moment, she pursed her lips before grinning. "You're just a man of so many words, aren't you?" Her expression was amused as she waited for his answer. |

| Derek could tell this woman was going to be difficult, and that she would enjoy making him work. Only natural though. If he wanted anything from her, then he would have to work for it. But it was also a two way street. He gave a smirk and the slightest nod in return to her. "Only natural," he beamed her a flashy smile. "That so? I will keep that in mind then," he retorted, a smug look upon his face as he entered.
He looked over her body as she stood there amused and her hands gently placed against her hips. Confident he had to give her that. "That I am. Can't stop me from talking," he replied with an amused smirk on his lips as he brought his hand to his hair and slightly ruffling it. "Though I must say you have quite a nice home," he managed to compliment.

| Trinity watched Derek. She wasn't phased by him one bit. He was just another guy and that made her bored. She wanted someone extraordinary so far he was proving to be anything but. When he complimented her, she got a smug grin on her face. "It is pretty great, isn't it?" She knew her house looked good after all the money she spent hiring people to repair it. In her opinion she was allowed to be smug and shouldn't have anyone try to argue with her about it. Just as she looked up the stairs, she saw her Pomeranian Puppy, Candy scurrying down the stairs. She picked up the puppy and snuggled her for a moment before placing her back down on the ground gently.
Immediately, Candy ran off into the kitchen. Trinity assumed Candy was just hungry. Out of everyone in her life, Trinity showed her puppy the most affection. She turned her attention back to Derek and placed her hands back on her hips. She noticed him looking at her body. "See something you like?" She smirked at him and then continued to look around her house speaking to him absently. "If you want we can go into the kitchen and have some cheesecake and champagne or something. Sounds romantic, I know but don't get your hopes up. It takes a lot more than cheesecake and alcohol to win my heart." She turned her body away from him and started to walk to her kitchen. Just as she was about to enter, she turned and smiled at him, "Coming or are you going to stand there all day looking stupid?" |

| Derek chuckled. Trinity was proving to be quite interesting. rather in the fact that no matter what he was doing, of course it was not much as of yet, but she seemed to dislike it. A hard one to please, clearly. His eyes shot to the little puppy that had decided to join them. Trinity seemed to be rather close with the dog, only natural though. He watched the pup run to the kitchen before looking over the woman's body. "Quite a few actually," he admitted smugly, looking at her before looking around the house, then back to her.
She quickly offered for them to go to her kitchen and have champagne and cheesecake. That sounds absolutely delish right now. He had been craving both for some time. Odd he had fixed the craving, but oh well, he was about to. "Too bad. But working to get to that heart is all part of the fun," he winked. He pulled away from his thoughts as she asked if he was coming. "Of course I am," he remarked, turning his body to her and walking after her. "Look stupid? Hardly, but I guess it would be bad if I was portrayed as such to you then, no?" he stated smugly.

| "You're making yourself look horribly unintelligent right now sweetie. You might want to fix that. Wouldn't want to give me the wrong impression, now would you?" Trinity shot a smug smile in Derek's direction. She turned her head and her long brunette curls followed. Before opening the refrigerator, she fixed her shirt and then opened the refrigerator. She pulled out a unopened bottle of champagne and cheesecake. She placed both on the island in the center of the kitchen. She opened the refrigerator again and pulled out fresh blueberries and strawberries. After she placed those down on the island, she pulled out a cutting board and a knife. Trinity pulled out a knife and cut eight strawberries in half for herself and Derek. When she finished, she got a new knife and opened the cheesecake. She cut two good sized pieces and placed them on two plates She placed eight strawberry halves on Derek's plate and the remaining ones on her plate. After she was done, she put some blueberries on both of their plates. She returned everything where it belonged.
"Here you go. I always have mine with strawberries and blueberries" When she realized not too many people knew that about her, she bit her lip. She didn't like sharing information about herself with outsiders, especially stranger outsiders. She went to a cabinet and pulled out two champagne glasses and poured the champagne in them. She smiled down at the glasses and then slid one over to Derek. She sipped her champagne happily and just as she was going to eat her cheesecake, she realized they didn't have forks. Trinity grinned sheepishly and grabbed two forks out of a drawer. She placed one on Derek's plate and then took a bite of her own cheesecake. "Hmm this tastes so much better than I remember. I haven't had cheesecake in such a long time. Everything tastes better when you haven't had it in a while." Just as she realized she realized she was being sweet, she decided to turn bitch mode back on. "Don't get used to coming here and putting alcohol in my system, it won't get you into my bed." |

| Derek lfted his brow with a smug look. "No I wouldn't. First impressions are everything after all. Professionally and otherwise casually." He walked into the kitchen after her. She was wearing a rather nice outfit. It looked like something his sister would wear. Stylish and attractive, and it fit her body figure well. Sometimes he hated how observant he was, but it the long run, it was good. He watched her Pull out fruit, champagne, glasses, plates and cheesecake. A lot of work, and he could have easily offered to help, but before too long she had been putting the stuff up and serving him the cheesecake. "Oh? Good to know," he took note with a genuine smile.
This woman was complicated. One moment she seemed at ease and kind, the next she turned around and became a bitch. Probably in the sense that she was not overly comfortable with people getting to know her, let alone the opposite sex. "Agreed. It's so rich," he remarked as he took a bit of it with a smile. He let out a chuckle. "Putting alcohol in your system to sleep with you? Hardly. Not one of the ways I would put a woman to bed with me. I don't need her tipsy or so shit faced as to forget the night and throw up. Would rather have her clear minded and doing it on her own accord," he winked, taking a sip of the champagne then taking in a couple of blueberries.

| Trinity nodded in agreement. "Yes they are. I'm this way almost all the time. In my family I'm one of the more serious people. I'm enthusiastic when I choose to be. The way I am now is actually a way I quite enjoy. If you can't handle me like this then you won't be able to handle me any other way." What she said could be taken any way and she was ok with that. Part of her did want to imply something else. He did seem like the love 'em and leave 'em type of guy. Trinity wasn't one to be disrespected especially by some guy who thought he was God's gift to women. From what she could tell, Derek did think he was God's gift. "So I bet you have plenty of women chasing after you and begging for your attention. Why come here? Why not go to see one of them?"
Trinity laughed at his next comment. "So rich? Is that how men describe things these days? That's new." Maybe it was rude to laugh at him but she thought it was funny. She took two blueberries in her hand and popped them in her mouth. "Well trust me, you won't be getting me willingly in bed with you anytime soon. I'm not that kind of girl and never will be. I wasn't like that when I was a teenager either. Girls like that disgust me and men who allow women to act that way disgust me too." She sighed when she realized how harsh she was being. All he did was come into her house and try to be friendly and she was his every attempt. She wouldn't apologize, no, that wouldn't be happening but maybe she could be a little nicer. "So tell me more about you." She sighed again. |

| Derek grinned at Trinity. "That so? Well I have to say you are bit of a handful this way, but hey, it's all worth it in the end, no? To work to see what else you got going on for you?" he charmed. Derek had his fun with women sure, but he was serious with the women he was with. He was not quite like his sister, just having sex for fun. He would rather be in a relationship before he slept with them. Odd. "Ha, I do. Attention is nice, but I don't need teeny boppers throwing themselves at me. Rather I like a challenge with my women. I came here because you seemed rather... Intriguing," he mused simply, another sip of the champagne.
He smirked as she laughed. He did not mind that it was at him. At least she seemed amused, whether she was mocking him or not. "You have standards. Nice to see. So many people I have run into and they just sleep around because they can. Especially people of high power like my family. And no worries, you are beautiful, but I am not going sleep with you right off. Relationship comes first for me. Sex is nice, sure, but I would rather be in a relationship doing it," he remarked. Taking another bite of the cheesecake, he lifted his brow at her. She was attempting to get to know him? Interesting. Thought he would just get the cold shoulder. "I was born in Zurich. I traveled most of my life. I have three siblings all younger than me. One works in Hogwarts as a professor. Sports is my passion. My family is... I guess in a sense, famous and well known in France and a few other places," he paused slightly, a bite of cheesecake and a strawberry stuffed into his mouth. Not overly important to know that he was rich and famous because of the family name, but he said it anyway.

| Trinity couldn't help but roll her eyes as Derek spoke. Yes it was extremely rude but at this point she didn't care. It was how she always was and how she always would be. "I guess I have a lot going for me, who knows really." Trinity didn't know how much she could share about herself with Derek. He seemed harmless enough but usually those who seemed the least harmless were really the polar opposite. "Attention is for those who have insecurities and need others to love them because they don't love themselves. So I guess since you love attention so much you must be really insecure, huh?' Trinity couldn't stop the smirk that came across her face. This was fun for her. "Intriguing? Ha! How many women have you used that line on?"
As she listened to him speak, she knew she was going to have to tell him a little more about her sex life which she hated. Trinity was always more secretive with her sex life than most. She sighed. "Well if you must know, I lost my virginity at eighteen. I was with that guy from seventeen until nineteen and then my other boyfriend twenty to twenty-two. All of my relationships have been pretty long term. My first one my ex cheated and my second ex and I just fought all the time. I dated a little bit before that but nothing got serious." Trinity wasn't ashamed of anything in her life but she liked to keep her private life private. Sometimes it was necessary to give extra details though." She listened to him speak and rolled her eyes. "So you're rich, big deal. Money doesn't impress me. It takes a lot more than that to impress me." |

| Derek scoffed at her comment. She was quiet fine in showing him she was more rude than a classy woman. Of course he did not care, but she seemed to want to push him away. Though she was slowly accomplishing that. "I said I liked attention. Not that I thrived on it. I don't need strangers love, nor do I have insecurities, and you are vastly exaggerating 'love' in your context," well everyone had insecurities, but not like he was going to show them, let alone cover them up with obnoxious fans. "Be happy, you are the only one," he mused truthfully as she simply mocked him.
She seemed rather bipolar in a way. Nice to mean to otherwise. He listened to her as she spoke about her life, more like her private life. Vague, but at least he learned something new. "Too bad, you seem like quite a catch," he compliment simply, sipping the champagne. He saw her roll her eyes once more. Well he was not impressive to her that was for sure. "Out of all that and you pick up that I am rich? Seems like it does impress you since that was the most superficial thing I said, and the only thing you picked up. Or maybe you felt the need to tell me that because I am rich that I could not easily get into your pants. Don't worry. I never use the fact that I am rich to even remotely seduce a woman. Rather that is the last thing I tell a woman," he chuckled to himself.

| Maybe Trinity could give Derek the benefit of the doubt. As much as she wanted to continue being bitchy she knew she was actually being quite rude. Here he was actually attempting to be polite and she shot his efforts down each time. She wasn't one to allow herself to get played. All she was doing was protecting herself and making sure he was bullshitting her. Normally she had a great bullshit tracker but even then sometimes people slipped by. She rolled her eyes at him. "Like I haven't heard all of that crap before." Ok so she did terribly at letting her guard down but it was still too soon for her. With everyone she kept her guard up as long as she possibly could.
"Ha, wouldn't you like to know." She really did suck at being nice to people. She sighed and drank some of her champagne to keep from apologizing. One thing she didn't do was apologize. It wasn't her style. "Just because I picked up on you being rich doesn't mean I'm superficial. If I were, I would be married to the richest guy by now. I'd rather marry for love not lust or money. It's unfortunate you felt the need to mention it though. If it were the last thing you'd normally tell a woman than why tell me first? A test of some sort maybe? Sorry, I left school a long time ago I'd rather not have any tests." They were really doing horribly at getting along. She wanted to get past it but was stubborn and headstrong. |

| Derek shurgged. Well they were having some issues getting along. He could tell she was head string and stubborn. He was too. Not good to have massively stubborn people together, but alas, he would try and let it go. "Belive me, don't believe me, I have no need to lie to you," he remarked simply with a slight grin.
Taking in a deep gulp of champagne, he lifted his brow at her. "Test? Tedious work that is not needed. Rather it was a simple comment. I stated my family had power, not money. But nevertheless it is out in the open. I probably felt the need to tell you because I see something about you..." he paused but shrugged, not finishing his sentence. He remembered she had stated she married for love. Well a similar thought they had. Maybe it would not be overly hard for them to get to know each other. Maybe. "Anywho, new topic? Perhaps interests?" He wanted to see if she would loosen up.

| Trinity dismissed everything Derek said. If they kept going the way they were going they would definitely never get along. The best way to work things out is to forget their previous conversation and start a new one. Trinity hoped Derek would agree with her but maybe it liked the fighting. It did give him more attention. "A new topic would be great. If we don't change the topic now we'll never stop fighting. You and I both know that even though you might be a little slow." She sighed and grinned sheepishly. "Sorry." This was going to be harder than she thought but hopefully she'd be able to do it for both their sakes. Fighting with someone constantly wasn't any fun.
She glanced down at her plate and noticed there wasn't anything in it. Trinity picked it up and placed it in the sink. "I can clean that later. It's not on my list of most important things to do. So what else can we talk about? Any ideas on your side? We both know if I try to initiate a conversation we'll just end up arguing again which isn't like me. I'm normally not one to argue. At most, I'll have a minor disagreement or something stupid. So I apologize. Good luck thinking of another topic." She smiled and poured more champagne in her glass. She sipped it and then put it down on the counter." |

| Derek smiled as she agreed. Her snide comment was dismissed when she apologized. Seemed to be an interesting way to start of meeting. Virtually fighting. Finishing off his cheesecake and all the little fruits that had decorted it, he placed the plate down delicately and listened to her. "Very true. We avoid doing any more of that and we might have a better time," though in some odd sense, he did like seeing her riled up, "Well I will try to avoid a new topic that will get us fightong again," he grinned as he sipped at his nearly gone chapagne.
This should be a harmless topic, at least he hoped it would be. Sure they started off rough, but that only made it that more fun to see each other in ways most poeple try to hide when first meeting people. So perhaps with that little disagreement, they could move on better and not do what they had just done. "How about interests? What you like to do in your free time?" he asked curiously. Harmless. This should be harmless.

| Trinity nodded in agreement. There was, however, one thing she wanted to clear up before they continued on with their little meeting. "By my previous behavior, you might get the impression I'm socially awkward. Well, I'm not. I keep my guard up to make sure no one is trying to play me and to make sure guys and girls understand they can't use me as a doormat. Now, when I say girls I don't mean romantically. I mean some women try to take advantage of others even though we are a little to old for stupid things like that. I've seen it happen to my friends and I refuse to let it happen to me." All Trinity could hope is her explanation would allow Derek to understand her a little better. Once he got to know her, (if she allowed that) he'd find she's really an easy person to get along with and caring as well.
Once he came up with a topic, she shot a small smile in his direction. "Let's see..." she started while grabbing the champagne bottle and pouring some champagne in his glass. "No I'm not trying to get your drunk, just being polite." She wanted to remind him before she started with their new topic. "I like working out, reading, dancing, singing, writing, and many other things. Muggle sports have always interested me. I can't understand them to save my life but I find them quite interesting. How about you Derek, what are some of your interests besides women?" She sighed. Why was it that she couldn't have a conversation with him without insulting him? This wasn't how she wanted him to see her but this was the best she could do as of right now. |

| Derek lifted his brow as she made a statement about her behaviour. She really did like to jump to conclusion on what he thought or felt about her. Sure she was not off on a couple of things, but he knew she was not socially awkward. He knew how they acted, and with her strong personality, she definitely was not socially awkward. "Well be the judge. Catch me if I am out of line." He knew better that the likely hood of him being out of line is not overly possibly, but she seemed to have low thought of him already, so why not allow her the option verbally, though he knew she would do it by default.
As she filled his glass, he grinned, though avoiding making a comment. Sipping the champagne once again, he listened to her, yet again, blocking out her snide comment. If they were going to get past this, he would just have to simply ignore her not so nice comments and move on with their nicer conversation on getting to know each other. "Lovely interests," he retorted first off before pausing and sipping the champagne once more and starting to list off his interests, at least a few. "Like you, I enjoy working out, dancing, playing the cello, art, and a multitude of other things. Of course women are a nice interest. But they come and go, whilst dancing, for example, is never failing and is always there no matter." Not like it was necessary for him to say that, because he was sure some comment would be made. But hey, maybe they could get past this.
