First Meeting Empty
PostSubject: First Meeting   First Meeting EmptySun Jan 23, 2011 11:32 pm

Julian finally got all his shopping done. Now all he needed to do was Owl his presents to the three people he bought them for. He still wasn't speaking to Skyler. Maybe he was being stupid and ridiculous but he was really frustrated with her. He did cross the line but he just wanted to see if she felt the same way he did. Now he knew the truth and could try to move on even long he did have a crush on Skyler for a long time.

Pushing his thoughts about Skyler aside, he decided to go visit Silverstone's for some lunch. He heard they had the best lunch menu around and decided to go check it out. Once he got his menu he started to read it. There were a lot of choices so it was hard to read. After reading it for about five minutes, he figured out what he wanted. Just as he put the menu down, the waitress scurried over.

He smiled at her and handed her the menu. "Hi I'd like an orange soda, bowl of clam chowder, a Monterey Burger, and steak fries." Was that all he wanted? Julian thought for a minute before sending the waitress on her way. He liked to have a lot to eat so wanted to double check. He needed to eat a lot so when he went to work out so he wouldn't get tired fast.

Trista exhaled heavily, rubbing her frozen hands together and hoping to generate some form of warmth. She hadn't thought about casting a warmth spell before she'd ventured out into the cold, and now she was paying for it. Nibbling on her lower lip as she walked, she finally found something that caught her interest - a sign hanging over a place named Silverstone's Corner Cafe. With a small shrug she began heading toward it, eager for the warmth waiting for her inside, just past the doors.

Hurrying inside she was met with a blast of heat, and her exposed skin began to tingle in response as the warmth seeped back into it's rightful place. She shivered a bit as she came to a stop, glancing around the quaint place. It was rather nice in here, and now that she thought about it, she was rather hungry... allowing her attention to top briefly on an attractive boy, she quickly looked back toward the floor when she realized just how cute he was. He'd also been alone.. hm..

Always being one with confidence, she didn't hesitate before she began striding over, loosening her scarf and removing her gloves on the way. By the time she reached the table he was seated at, she'd put both her gloves and scarf in either of her jacket pockets, and the front of her jacket was open. Giving him a pleasant smile, she gestured toward the empty chair across from him. "You look rather lonely. Mind if I join you?" Yes, bold of her, but for some reason she didn't think he'd be turning her down. Hopefully.

Julian sat quietly waiting for his meal to be delivered to him. He wasn't in a rush but he was hungry and he didn't want the waitress and cook to take forever with his food. He wasn't complaining about being in a nice warm place though. By this time he did have his drink and he sipped it slowly. The cafe was quiet and he wasn't used to going places that were quiet. The three broomsticks was always full of talkative people. Julian didn't mind he was a talkative person himself.

Before he knew it he had an attractive girl approaching him. His first thought was wow, she's hot. Julian knew he had good taste in girls so that automatically meant this girl was hot. He loved girls with dark hair and even though her hair wasn't completely dark it was still nice. Was he going to turn her down? Definitely not. He would have to be crazy to do that. Julian was many things but crazy was not one of them.

He nodded casually at the girl. "Sure, make yourself comfortable. I just ordered some lunch. I'm sure the waitress will be back by to see if you want anything. This is my first time here. I heard it's great." When he realized he didn't introduce himself, he grinned sheepishly. "Sorry. I'm Julian Pierce. What's your name?" Julian wasn't nervous but sometimes his brain got ahead of his mouth.

Trista waited in quiet anticipation as his gaze found it's way over to her, and she kept the casual smile on her lips as she waited for his response. She figured he must have been either checking her out, or just taking a moment to actually decide. Either way she wasn't exactly bothered. Up close he was even cuter, and she was glad that she'd gone ahead and been bold. Not that it had ever been a problem with her before. Considering she was in a new place now though, she was slightly nervous. Not much, but enough for it to feel unfamiliar to her.

She felt her close-lipped smile developing into a quick grin when he nodded, and she listened to him speaking as she pulled out her chair and took a seat opposite of him. Making herself comfortable before she glanced up again, she nodded to his words. "I think I'll have to try it, then." She mused, picking up a discarded menu next to her left elbow. Quickly scanning it, she placed it down moments later, already picking out what she wanted.

She chuckled a bit when she realized she'd skipped right over introductions before sitting down. Oops. "I'm Trista Black." She paused before deciding to add, "I'll let you know by the end of this if it's been nice meeting you or not." She said this with a playful grin, glad that her nervousness from before was already evaporating. Glancing up as the waitress arrived once more, she ordered herself a sprite, along with a cheeseburger and fries. Turning her attention back toward Julian, she considered what she could possibly say.

"So.. you attend Hogwarts?" Had to start somewhere.

Julian didn't know many people and was ok with that. He had a few close friends and then some acquaintances. He didn't bother trying to meet too many new people. He would much rather talk to a few friends over having a whole bunch of "friends" he never spoke to. There wasn't anything wrong with meeting a new person and getting to know them especially if they were female. Julian was young but he loved his women all the same.

He nodded as she spoke to show he was listening and paying attention. Most women liked that sort of thing. If you didn't do something to indicate you were listening they'd yell at you for ignoring them. Even if Julian made if seem like he wasn't listening, he was always listening. This one seemed polite, kind, and cocky all in one. He wanted to find out what she was really like by the end of the meal. First impressions were pretty much everything to him.

"Trust me, when you leave here you'll be thinking it was very nice to meet me." He grinned at her and nodded once more. This time to answer her question. "Slytherin, fourth year. How about you?" Considering she was in Hogsmeade, Julian assumed she was either a Hogwarts student or a visitor. With the holidays right around the corner, anything was possible.

Trista appreciated the fact that Julian made a point to act like he was listening to her, even if he actually wasn't. She obviously didn't know him well enough to know whether he was or not, but being the observant person she was, she figured she wouldn't have much of a problem figuring it out by the end of this meal. Already she was liking the sort of attitude he seemed to have, and she was certain that this meal was going to be an entertaining one.

She felt one of her perfectly plucked eyebrows arching when she heard his words, but it didn't stop the amused grin from forming on her lips, her eyes dancing deviously. "Confidence is always attractive." She said easily, not minding speaking her mind in the least. "But we'll just have to wait and see." She added, leaning forward slightly in an absentminded sort of way. He had a cute grin... "I should have guessed you'd be a Slytherin." She said with a slight shake of her head, a bemused smirk on her lips.

"Gryffindor, fourth year. Just transfered from Beauxbatons." She said in a slightly nonchalant sort of way. She wasn't going to deny the fact that she was slightly excited about the fact that she'd be attending the same school as Julian here. That just made for so much more fun.

"If confidence is attractive I must be one of the hottest guys around." He joked with her. Although Julian had his insecurities he wouldn't admit them especially not to Trista. He barely knew her that would just be weird. Maybe if he got to know her well enough she would get to know the other sides of him no one else really knew about. Skyler knew a little bit of it but even then he did his best to cover it up. Anyone who knew his secrets could hurt him. He really guarded himself because he did wear his heart on his sleeve.

Julian shrugged. "Even guessing you could've been wrong. I've learned you shouldn't judge a book by their cover no matter how much you want to. There are many different sides of me. At the moment you're seeing the side of me that's most like a hufflepuff. I could really fit into every house except Ravenclaw. I hate to study. I'm smart...I think but I don't study."

"Beauxbatons, huh? Girls from there are cute." He wouldn't say most girls or anything like that. It would just reflect on his don't judge a book by their cover philosophy. "So do you know anyone here yet? I have a few friends that a great...for the most part." He rolled his eyes remembering his latest incident with Skyler. "I think you'll like it here. No two people are exactly alike."

Trista could feel a cocky remark brewing on the tip of her tongue as he joked with her, but she bit it back, instead deciding to joke back with him instead. "I might just have to take your word on that, considering I haven't gotten a chance to see for myself yet." She said with a slight shrug of her small shoulders. She wasn't going to deny the fact that he was rather attractive, and if he was any indicator as to what she'd be seeing at Hogwarts.. she shook her head to rid herself of such thoughts. No need to get distracted when she had a perfectly nice guy seated right in front of her.

She felt her head tilting to the side ever so vaguely as he began speaking again, and she nodded briefly to show that she was acknowledging what he was saying. She wasn't scared to admit that she could have been wrong, even if it wasn't one of her most favorite things to do. Waiting until he finished, she decided to choose her words a bit carefully. "You're right, I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. But if I'm being honest here, I'm actually a pretty non-judgmental person." She paused, not sure if it was necessary for her to go that far into explaining herself to this boy just yet. "Can't wait to meet all the different side's of you, then." She didn't realize how this must have sounded, but suddenly, she didn't really care. She honestly did want to get to know this boy sitting with her. He seemed interesting enough.

She smirked at his next set of words, and sat back a bit. Striking a bit of a model pose, she batted her eyelashes at him in a playful sort of way before ending in a fit of laughter. "Is that your indirect way of letting me know I'm cute?" She asked jokingly, her tone light so that if she had been wrong, it wouldn't make the situation awkward. She shook her head a bit when he questioned her. "I only know my brother and his girlfriend. I've met a boy named Indiana at the park, but that's it." She said. "Now I can add you to the list." She said with a small grin. "I think I'll like it here too." She agreed.
