Annabelle sat in her usual seat waiting for her students to arrive, Cheeko had taken to scuttling about the classroom, he was, for reasoning Annabelle couldn't figure out and for lack of better words, on a high. The Professor amused herself by watching the furry animal try to keep itself from bouncing off the walls.

Rowyn swept enthusiastically into the Transfiguration classroom. So enthusiastically, in fact, that she failed to notice her boots' untied laces until she tripped over them. sending herself sprawling. Blushing, she quickly got to her feet, brushing herself off as she moved toward a second-row desk with her normal cautious tread.
Taking her seat, she leaned over to do up her laces, keeping her eyes on her feet. How embarassing, she thought. Her laces tied, she set up her desk, watching the teacher from under her lashes. Transfiguration was her favorite subject, and she was considerably less than pleased at the klutzy impression she'd given Professor Fey.
Her attention was soon diverted from her own self-admonishment by the professor's pet. The rabbit was rocketing around the classroom, and to Rowyn's relief, Professor Fey seemed to be engaged in watching her pet. Rowyn had no doubt the professor had seen her tumble, but at least she could act like it had never happened. A cheery grin returning to her face, Rowyn opened her notebook and began to calligraphy Transfiguration on the cover page.

Isabella walked into the classroom slowly, she knew she was early. She was almost never late. Maybe it was the Ravenclaw in her, but she couldn't stand missing classes. Izzi sat down next to a girl with hazel-greenish eyes. She was wearing Ravenclaw robes. "Hello. I'm Isabella Taylor, Ravenclaw. As you may have noticed by my robes..." She said, smiling brightly at the girl and gesturing to her robes. She turned to the Professor. "Good morning, Professor Fey."

Isabella laughed when she saw the furry animal that was engaging the Professor's attention. "Wow," She said, chuckling, "Your pet is... very... enthusiastic...?"

Annalina strode in, head held high, and laughed at the scene. The professor was captivated by a hyper furry animal, with another Ravenclaw just chuckling at the spectacle. Annalina had no idea what that thing was, and quite frankly, didn't want to know. "Um... Hi. Professor Fey? I'm here. Annalina De Luca." She sat down behind two Ravenclaws.

Sitting at her desk, she grabbed some parchment, quills, and ink. It was multi-colored ink, so she could make it any color she wished. "Metallic gold," She muttered, and the ink turned the color of molten gold. She drew little designs on the edge of her parchment with the ink, waiting for the other students to come.

Rowyn smiled at Isabella a bit stiltedly, wondering if she'd ever get used to there being people around to talk to.

"Rowyn Northridge. I believe I've seen you around the tower. Nice to finally meet you." She carefully blotted her half-finished calligraphy and closed the notebook. She would certainly try to interact with her classmates. As she turned to face the other Ravenclaw, a flash of color caught her eye. Behind the two Ravenclaws, the Gryffindor girl's ink had just changed to a metallic gold.

"Isn't that hard to see?" she blurted.

Annalina raised an eyebrow, and chuckled. "No, not really. It's very bright. And its my favorite color. Not to mention, it's one of my House's colors." She smirked at the girl. "And it concerns you because...?" She asked, with her condescending French accent. "My ink can change color. Bronze," She muttered to the ink. She turned the page to face the girl. "Now it's your House's color. You're a Ravenclaw, correct? Purple and bronze," She accidentally made the ink turn two colored. "Oops! Haha, I didn't know it could be two-colored. "Dark red and metallic gold!" She spoke yet again tp the ink. It changed its colors once more, to her delight. "Magic," She murmured, smiling slightly. "It's always... Amazed me."

Robert rushed into class, hoping beyond hope that he wasn't late. Sighing with relief, he nodded to the two girls and to the professor before sitting down in a seat near the back.

Rowyn really didn't care for the Gryffindor's condescension in the French Gryffindor's voice. It had been a simple question. Unless the lines were very thick and the ink a darker shade, gold ink was not all that easy to see against normal parchment.

"I was just amazed you could tell the ink's colour from that of the parchment," she told the French girl in a sugary-sweet tone of voice. "Seeing as you are clearly incapable of distinguishing between purple and blue."

Turning sharply in her seat to face the front of the class, Rowyn opened her notebook to the back page and scribbled a note to herself.
Bring Henry V to next Transfiguration class, Re: Battle of Agincourt.

That done, she turned again to Isabella.
"You're a fourth year, right?"

Isabella smiled at Rowyn and leaned closer. "Sorry about Annalina," She whispered. "She's... A bit of a diva. But she's really loyal to her friends... And she doesn't like people getting in her business." She nodded. "Yeah, i'm a Fourth Year. What year were you again?"

She turned to Annalina. "Look, I know you hate 'nosy' people, but... Be nicer ok? Divaness won't win you any friends." Annalina nodded. Anna turned to Rowyn. "Sorry... I, um... As Izzi kindly pointed out, I *am* a bit of a diva... Comes with beimg French. And I just transferred from Beauxbatons, i'm sorry if I don't know the House colors fully yet."

((oh and rowyn im allowed to God-Mod annalina.))

Rowyn weighed the situation mentally; she was still more than a bit irritated, but given her own problems with tact... Nodding and forcing a smile, she decided she wouldn't burn any bridges; she hated fire, after all.

"I should apologize too; tact is not one of my strengths. My curiousity and temper get the better of me more often than not." She held out her hand to the Gryffindor.

"Perhaps we ought to start anew. I am Rowyn Northridge, Third year Ravenclaw. I like to sail, write, and embroider." Her introduction finished, Rowyn cocked her head slightly to the right in question, waiting for madmoiselle's next move.

Annalina had apologized, but it seemed 'Rowyn' wasn't ready to forgive and forget just yet. She mentally rolled her eyes, thinking, Ugh. *Someone's* a little touchy! But the girl still apologized. "I should apologize too; tact is not one of my strengths. My curiousity and temper get the better of me more often than not." She held out her hand to Annalina, Anna grudgingly taking it and shaking it in a graceful handshake.

Rowyn continued, "Perhaps we ought to start anew. I am Rowyn Northridge, Third year Ravenclaw. I like to sail, write, and embroider." She cocked her head slightly to the right; as if waiting for Anna's response. Lina nodded, and started. "Yes, we should; thank you. I am Annalina De Luca, Third Year also, and I like to play Quidditch. Mainly, Chaser, or Seeker. I like to sew; close to embroidering, no? Paris *is* the fashion capital of the world."

Rowyn smiled a little wider, the inherently French arrogance of the girl was amusing when she made the effort not to let it piss her off.

"I'll grant that, though I'd imagine they'd have something to say about it in Milan," she responded, not quite able to resist the gentle dig.
"And sewing versus embroidering is just a matter of scale: You like to make things; I like to decorate them. So De Luca, Taylor, what are your favorite classes?" Rowyn figured that a neutral subject would be best to keep her and De Luca's temper's out of play.

Annabelle allowed the corner of her mouth to twitch in amusement as Rowyn made her way clumsily into the classroom but nodded in acknowledgment to the girl all the same, Isabella came in not to long after that and commented on Cheeko's hyper mood. Annabelle gave a chuckle

"Good morning Miss. Taylor. He does seem in a right state at the moment" She commented looking at her rabbit. Annabelle waited and continued greeting the students that entered the door before glancing at her clock and deciding to begin the lesson. She looked over at the class role to see which students she was missing.

Isabella Taylor
December Archer
Skyler Riddle
Daryl Oliver
Robert Grant
Annalina De Luca
Rowyn Northridge

She really wished student's would make in to class on time, facing her class once more she gave everyone a cheerful smile "Glad to see all of you again" She said happily "Today we're going to be learning a spell called Draconifors, so everyone take out your texts and turn to pages eighty-five and eighty-six. Draconifors is a transfiguration spell that turns statues of dragons into real dragons. The caster 'swipes' their wand through the air and a ball of fire is shot from it at the statue, which will immediately animate and breath." She paused waiting for her student's to gather their equipment.

Isabella was zoning out a bit during Rowyn and Anna's divafest, so she was woken up from her daydream when Rowyn asked her and Anna their favorite classes. "Ummm... There aren't any bad ones... But i'll have to say DADA. It's so... Intense, you kniw? Divination isn't bad, either, the Prifessor is nice."

Annalina rolled her eyes. "Um... I never liked school much, but I must admit Hogwarts has more interesting lessons than Beauxbatons. I guess... Flying? As i've said, I like Quiddich." She fidgeted slightly, uncomfortable with the conversation.

Isabella cleared her throat. "So, Northridge, how about you? What's your favorite subject?" This was her attempt at ending the awkward silence. Smiling, Isabella remembered something an American-born orphan at her orphanage once told her. "Every time there is an awkard silence, a gay baby is born." She'd meant to only mouth it, but apparently, she'd accidentally said it. "Oops." She chuckled. "I didn't mean to say that out loud."

Annalina raised her eyebrow. "Interesting comments you have," She smirked slightly, her French accent slightly stronger.

The teacher had begun to speak, so Isabella turned to pay attention.

With class starting, Rowyn wasn't about to continue the conversation. She was actually rather grateful for the teacher's interruption as she had no idea what to say after Taylor's rather bewildering interjection. Still, she didn't want to come off as too rude. She pulled out her Transfiguration text, and tapped the cover with her wand, causing the title to briefly glow. She hoped Taylor and De Luca got the message.
Question answered, she opened her text to page eighty-five and copied down the spell name, incantation, and wand movement at the top of a blank notebook page. She took care to make her notes legible, trusting her memory to let her catch up to the teacher.
At the bottom of the page she scribbled a question, which she'd ask later, ? purely european, asian myths of elemental dragons, water, earth, ice/lightning
