| Ciel hummed slightly as she waited for her students to arrive. She had a bit of a surprise for them before the lesson began. She counted out fourteen plastic bottles of the potion, setting them carefully in her bag. She set it on her desk and began to write on the board; the Muggle way of course. She drew out instructions for them on the potion they were going to be making, before she made it disappear.
When they were ready to start, she would make it appear again. For now, she was content with them finding out the contents of the small test tube like containers she had. She was eager to find out what each of them smelled.

| Casey walked into potions. She didn't see anyone else. She walked up to the teacher. "I'm Casey Weasley. I think you might of met my older brother a few years ago." she said. The teacher was organizing small vials of a potion. She wondered what they were going to learn. She had promised herself that she would actually pay attention during her O.W.L classes. Then she went and and sat down, in the middle of the classroom.

| Blake walked into the class and spotted only two people. It always made her feel odd that she actually on time, or like one of the first people there. Though she guessed she might as well get her act together. Making her way further into the class, she took a seat to herself, pulling out the necessary items she needed for the class. Had she remembered correctly, she was sure there was no one really in this class she talked to. Shrugging to herself, she made sure her quill and ink was ready to take notes. Lets just get this over with. | |

| Morgaine walked into the classroom and looked around, searching for familiar faces, she spotted a girl she didn't know, Heaven and 'that'. It looked like prof. Lycos would never put them in different groups, so she let out a groan and shook her head.
Waving at Heaven, she said 'hi' with a smile, she had only met her at that party before the break and she seemed like a nice person, but she wasn't her friend, so she went to another row of desks in the second line, and sat down, waiting for the class to start.

| Alex made his way down the hall to his Potions class, strolling in and blinking once he realized he was one of the first few to arrive. Pausing for a moment, he smiled slightly in greeting toward Professor Lycos, before his attention settled on his girlfriend. Easily walking forward and taking a seat next to her, he gave her a quick smile as well. "Hey there." He said in his friendly sort of way.
Pausing to pull out the supplies he would need, he arranged his parchment in front of him with his quill waiting on the side, and his wand as well. Sitting up right again, his attention glanced between both Morgaine and the Professor as he waited for the rest of the people to arrive, and for the class to begin.

| Patrick walked into Potions, and made his way down the rows of seats. Taking a seat near the middle, he nodded to Morgaine and Alex before taking out his things. | |

| Skyler strutted through the dungeons, wand tucked behind her ear like normal, and only paused when came to the potions classroom. Heading in through the open door (she was glad to see it was still open, seeing as a closed door would have meant she was late, and Professor Lycos was one of those professors she just didnt want to cross), the toe of her shoe caught the door jam and unsurprisingly caused her to trip.
And so it was in a rather ungraceful way she started out her day of classes. Huffing from her spot on the dungeon floor in front of her professors' desk, Skyler quickly sprang back to her feet, sheepish grin on her face. She didn't bother with bei g embarrassed. She was far too used to things like this happening to be embarrassed when they did happen. Instead she greeted her professor in her own charming way.
"Hello professor, good to see you again. Sorry about the tumble, I was just in such a hurry to start brewing potions again and all." With a wink and a smirk, Skyler made her way to a seat in the back, waving to Morgaine as she went past. |

| Robert slipped into class and breathed a sigh of relief to see that he wasn't late. Giving a nod to his classmates, he sat down next to a boy that he remembered seeing in the common room. Patrick someone or other. | |

| Julie was relieved to see she was not late - she had been snowed under in parchment in the library when she remembered she had class - and so took the time to stuff the rest of her jumbled quills back into her bag properly before entering the class. She waved slightly at people she recognised and chose a seat in the middle front of the room, looking at the assorted bottles on the desk. | |

| Oliver walked into class with a smile on his face, the rest seemed to have done him some good and he was alright with getting up for lessons on time... For once. He grinned at the Professor before taking a seat. This was one subject he loved and couldn't wait to start on it. |

| There was a wide pleased smile on her face the moment Alex walked in, not only that, but when he took a seat next to her, her stomach made a double flip, she was so glad they had this class together, it made the fact that she had class with 'that' so much more enjoyable.
"hi" she said back to him softly and waited until he settled down and grasped his hand under the desks "so glad you're here, how are you?" she asked in a whisper.
Nodding back to Patrick when he came in, she looked at prof. Lycos, waiting for the class to start while she enjoyed the feeling of his hand holding hers.

| Ciel waved her wand and the door closed with a subtle click. The students who were late would just have to deal with it. She smiled at her class and began to pass out all the tubes she had. "Now, what I want you all to do is take the stopper out of these tubes and tell me what you smell, alright? Do NOT, and I repeat, do not drink them. They should be fairly harmless, but we do not want to take any risks."
When all the vials were passed out she smiled. Their first dealings with Amortentia. I wonder what they all smell.
"Go on now. Unstop them and tell me what you smell. After we do that, I'll take them back and we'll begin for today." |

| Morgaine took the tube and opened it, trying to identify the smell coming out of it. She was confuse though cause it didn't smell at all, or at least nothing too remarkable, she just noticed how the smell of Alex increased and was more substantial, if you could describe a smell like substantial, it was also mixed with the smell of books, both old and new, but that was too an enhace of the smells in the classroom. Wondering why the other people odor wasn't enhanced, she looked up to the professor and asked with a frown "what are we supposed to be smelling?" | |

| Patrick took the offered tube and opened it. He sniffed hesitantly, and started when the smell of Alii came at him full force. Her shampoo, to be precise. Actually it came all around from all the opened tubes. That, along with the scent of the leather hide of a baseball, freshly mown grass, and burgers fresh off the grill.
Hmm, all of those smell very nicely together! he thought as he took in another breath. Yet, he found it odd that he only smelt those smells.

| Heaven looked at the tube for a second before undoing the stopper. She took a sniff of it and could smell roses. She didn't get why she smelled roses parse but she was and they smelled like the roses she grow back at home. | |

| Julie un-stoppered the vial and was hit with the smell of old books full force. There was a slight hint of the mould that sometimes grew in books with it, but only a small hint. Once she got past the giddyness of being bathed in the smell of an old, wonderful bookshop, she began to detect other things; a woody smell, like bracken; the air just before rainfall and a distinctive, harsh, fiery, animalistic scent that overpowered all the other smells once she identified it.
Julie put the small bottle down, re-stoppering it uneasily. She wasn't entirely sure what her senses had just been assaulted with, and it made her... nervous. "Um," she said, quiet and hesitant when answering the teacher's question for the first time in a long time, "Books. And rain, and the outdoors and... an animal of some kind."
She looked down at her hands which were twisting in her lap, thoroughly nettled.

| Blake grasped the tube in her hand. She knew the concoction in the glass, but was even hesitant in opening. Sure the professor stated that slightly harmless point of view, but in an extremests possession, it could go over badly. Shrugging slightly, she pulled the stopper off of it and brought it to her nose, taking in the scent. She smirked. The scents that filled her nose were those of orchids and the scent of her body when it was physically mingled with someone elses, one persons to be exact. Quickly stuffing the stopper in the tube, she kept silent. Not like everyone needed to know that the scents she enjoyed most were the ones that were prominent during.. erm.. physical transactions. | |

| Skyler took the tube and looked at it rather suspiciously. Raising an eyebrow as she heard the instructions, she looked at it even more suspiciously but with curiousity now as well. Finally removing the stopper, she took a very hesitant sniff and was assualted with an odd arrangement of smells.
Quickly figuring out why, Skyler replaced the stopper, but only got halfway through with putting it back in when an idea crossed her mind. Crazy? Most would say so. Risky? Considering who the professor of this class was, definitely. Worth it if she could pull it off? Conpletely. Once again removing the stopper, Skyler tried to ignore the smells tickling her senses and glanced around as if in thought, but was really checking out her position. Considering she was in the back, with plenty of students blocking her professor's view of her, Skyler decided if she was going to try, it had to be quick.
Taking one of her own empty tubes, she sneakily poured some into it from the one she had been handed under her desk, continuing to look thoughtful all the while. She knew she didn't need alot, and so she was done quickly and stoppered both, sliding her own sneakily and easily into her pocket and placing the original on her desk as she raised her hand. "Professor, I smell ..well..fire..or fireworks I guess...and strawberries..and also lillies." |

"hello proffesor, i'm so sorry for being late" she stepped in the class, kind of afraid.

| Jordan marched up to the door and tried to open it. It was locked. She cursed to herself and knock. Now, not only was she late and still feeling a bit sick, but she would now be embarassed in front of class. Great, this was turning into a great day.

| Casey unstoppered the vial. Automatically the scent of her grandfathers store filled her nose, along with the smell of Christmas dinner on the table, her house, a brisk autumn morning, and the scent of a crisp summer morning at the beach. She inhaled. What was this stuff. | |

| Robert sniffed his vial and wondered how it knew what his favorite things were. The smell of fish cooking, the wood from a broom handle, and his kitten.
"I smell the scent of fish cooking, the wood from a broom handle and my kitten," he said aloud. "What is this potion?"

| Alex smiled toward Morgaine, giving her hand a gentle squeeze from underneath the table before he'd turned his attention to the Professor as the lesson begun. Hearing the request, he glanced around and listened to everyone else's answers before he shrugged.
Taking his vial and popping the top off of it, he took a tentative sniff, surprised when he smelt Morgaine's perfume, followed by burning firewood and freshly fallen rain. He blinked a few times as he took another whiff, but then put the stopper back on the potion and looked toward the Professor almost questioningly.
Well, this was interesting.

| Fallon was a wreck, nothing this term for school was going how it should been. She was an emotional bundle of nerves, her school work was the last thing on her mind and she hadn't been able to keep up with her head girl duties. Skidding to a stop outside the potions classroom she knocked on the door as she sighed deeply. At this point she didn't know why she bothered to show up at all. | |
