Dem made hos way to Aubrey's house and even though it was cold and rainy outside he wore no coat. His hair was matted down to his forehead with rain, but that was all the better so you couldn't tell he was crying. Everything had been such a whirlwind for him over the last few days that he couldn't really shift through the storm that was his emotions. First had been his date in Thailand, which was one of the best days of his life. He and Jesse had expressed their love for each other in everyway, both verbally and physicallt, for the first time. But just likde every other thing in Dem's life it didn't last for long.
Immediately after going back to work Jesse had gotten sent on assignment dealing with a report of a basalisk in Spinner's End. Dem had wanted to go with him, but he had his mission handling a Witch who'd taken a job as a psychatrist and was using boggarts on her paitence. Dem had made it home that night. Jesse hadn't.
He didn't know what happened, the mediwitch couldn't tell. But whatever it was Jesse had been involved in a fierrce battle which he didn't make it through. Ever since finding out Dem had been going through the motions of life never being fully there at any given time. But he knew what he needed more than anything right now was a friend, which is why he trotted over to Aubrey's house.
He tried to compose himself and hide the face that his eyes were beet red from crying and lack of sleep before raising his fist and pounding on her door. Part of him hoped she wouldn't answer. That way he could go back to moping and being miserable and say that he'd tried to get help.
