Looking up an old friend

Quinn shuddered against the cold as she wandered along a rode in Godric's Hollow, she had walked past the rubble of the famous boy who lived and had visited their graves with a bunch of roses for each fallen hero. The wind was swirling about, the smell of a storm was brewing.

Quazar was trotting beside her, his thick fur shielding him from the wind and snow. Earlier, he was leaping in and out of the snow mounds on the side of the road before charging and tackling snowmen that children had made.

She came to a small cottage on the outskirts of the famous Gryffindor founder and she prayed to god or who ever was holy that this was the right place. She pushed open the small metal gate and walked briskly up the path to the door where she knocked.

Skylar stared in horror at the dishes piled in the sink, yet to be washed as she heard someone knock on the door. She hurriedly dried her hands before rushing through the house to answer it. Pulling the door open, she smiled widely at the woman she found standing there.
"Hey! How are you?" She exclaimed enthusiastically. "You're early." She added, tapping her watch for emphasis. Upon noticing the time on it, however, her eyes widened. "Or maybe I'm late... Anyway, come in."

Quinn smiled widely at her old school friend, she had received an owl from her at early hours that morning claiming she had been searching for her for years. Quazar made a noise from behind her, she stepped to the side.

"This is Quazar, would you mind if he joined us inside? It's a long story..." she smiled, "He's my companion.."

Skylar smiled widely at the wolf standing beside her dear friend.
"Of course!" She exclaimed. "I would love to hear all about it. Come in, come in." She stepped aside to make room for the two visitors to enter the decent sized hallway. After closing the door behind her, she led the way down the hall and into her large living room. She gestured to the couches, "Feel free to take a seat. Would you like a drink? Something to eat, maybe?" She wanted to be sure to get herself and her guests comfortable before settling down and catching up on the years they had spent apart.

Quinn walked into the house and followed her old friend down the hallway, as Skylar motioned to the couches she smiled and took a seat. "I could use a nice red wine, if you've got it. Otherwise, water'll do just fine." she smiled and motioned for Quazar to lay on the mat in front of the fire. It was his favorite spot back home.
