Cold Night Empty
PostSubject: Cold Night   Cold Night EmptySat Apr 23, 2011 8:11 pm

It was late evening as a heavy downpour came down from the heavens while the dark sky flashed brightly from the crackling of the celestial lightning that raced across the heavens. Indiana was standing in the rain, wearing a simple raincoat over his black shirt and baggy cargo trousers along with regular shoes that were all enchanted to repel water. The recent drought of hot temperatures had been stifling before being broken by the change in the weather. Welcoming the cold rain, Indiana basked in the freezing temperature that embraced him, hoping that it would cool him down both physically and emotionally.

As the thunder roared loudly, the lightning flashed dangerously across the sky while the winds picked up all around the area as the youth walked about the grounds, lost in his thoughts.

Gwen was running a few laps in the horrid weather as training when Snickers warned her that someone was there. That that somebody was Indy.
Oh Index..
She felt so horrible about whatshe had had to do. but he was alive, thats what counted.
"Indy? Snix told me it was you, are you okay?" she asked as Snix guided her along to the young boy. Her black tanktop and shorts were soaked, like the rest of her. But she didnt mind.

Indiana was lost in his thoughts when a familiar voice brought him back down to reality. He turned to see that it was Gwen. Suppressing his emotions regarding the recent events, the youth nodded.

"Hey Gwen." Indiana spoke cheerfully. "I didn't expect to see anyone out here in this downpour. How have you been?"

Perhaps for now, he wouldn't have to think about things yet it wasn't easy to keep a facade that nothing was wrong.

Gwen nodded also putting on a smile to mask her guilt.
"Yeah, I love the rain. And I´ve been alright. Works a killer. Hehe." she rolled her eyes mentally and winced.
Bad joke bad joke bad joke....
"Anyway how have you been Index? Chattin up any ladies?" she teased thinking of Sky but then quickly steering her thoughts away.
Sky..Indy...Mr.Riddle...Indy...

"I'll make it. Just the schoolwork being a bit heavier than I thought kind of adds stress to things." Indiana replied as convincingly as he could before noting Gwen's other question.

"Just a few here and there. Can't really elaborate on them yet." Indiana answered, his mind at first thinking about the girls that he only had friendly conversations with before gravitating to just Julie, Skyler, and Trista since he had also been on some adventures individually with them. Of course, he wasn't sure about his friendship with Skyler after the startling revelations from her father, yet now it wasn't the time to bring it up and he certainly wasn't sure on how she and Thomas would be reacting to news that he poisoned their father. On the other subject, Julie and Trista were adventurous and bold, the thought of the latter had Indiana slightly blushing a bit when he thought back on their time in Godric's Hollow. Of course, he couldn't forget about the former as memories of chasing a wraith in the mountains, finding an Augury in the Forbidden Forest, and exploring the old Riddle House in Little Hangleton came to mind.

Placing his thoughts aside, Indiana noted Gwen's attire, which somewhat reminded him of someone, and spoke. "Rain is refreshing, almost like a baptism from the heavens that cleanses the soul in a way. Anyways, did you have an interesting summer?"

Gwen stared before bursting out laughing,
"SweetChrist in a dinghy Index! Just a few here and there? You´re turning into a real ladiesman!" she teased lightly feeling slightly proud.

"But are you sure you´re okay Index?" she asked thinking something seemed a bit off.
SHe pulled her wet hair back into a ponytail and nodded,
"Yeah I did, Visited the family graves, took over my amilys affairs, went to spain, went to Rome, it was interesting, yes. How about you hon? " she asked knowing that some part of his summer had gone horriblywrong and it had been her fault.

Indiana raised an eyebrow at being called Index and was certainly amused. Well, it wasn't in his control to be in the company of girls that just happened to find him and all. Of course, the youth wasn't one to think of himself as a chick magnet. Quite the opposite in fact. After all, civil conversations didn't really imply anything.

"I'm fine." Indiana answered with sincerity in response to Gwen's question. Being tortured at the Riddle Manor wasn't something he'd bring up as it was a personal problem and it was something that he would deal with at another time.

Indiana nodded when he heard Gwen mention about the details of her summer and the mention of her visiting her family graves seemed to cast an ominous tone. Was Gwen an orphan? Hearing about her being Rome seemed to ring a bell and Indiana was thinking about the Cooper Huntress that he had ran into at the Roman Catholic Church for the moment.

"It sounds like you had quite the summer. Sorry to hear about your family." Indiana replied before answering. "I was mostly in the U.K. this summer although I did go to Rome and Istanbul just for sightseeing and souvenirs."

"Yeah, and thanks. It´s been three years so it´s okay now." I smiled slightly feeling my hair start to frizz in the rain.
"That sounds like fun, Always wanted to go to Istanbul, never had the time. Maybe when i can see again.." I mused thoughtfully.
"Gosh, I never would have thought that saying goodbye to Hogwarts would be so hard." It was my last year after all, I would miss it, really. Plotting in the library with Sky, throwing pebbles off the Astro Tower with Pat, pigging out in the kitchens with Em or watching Indy try to fly...I was going to miss it..

Indiana noted Gwen's sentences as she spoke and the implications of possible blindness along with her last year at Hogwarts were realized. If she was blind as she had said earlier, then he wondered on how she got around until he realized that her serpent familiar was serving as a substitute for her eyes.

"Perhaps it is although the memories are testament that you have been to Hogwarts. What you take with you as you leave becomes invaluable. Memories, friends... a foundation for one to build upon before moving outwards into the world." Indiana replied just as a bolt of lightning struck a tree a very good distance away, causing it to explode loudly.

"I still got this year and next year. Any plans after Hogwarts?"
