Lesson 1

Casey walked into Herbology. She saw the teacher sitting at their desk. When she came in, they just looked up and pointed to the chalkboard.

Casey sighed. She was in a lesson with just Hufflepuffs. She was okay with that. She walked over to a table and pulled on a pair of gloves. She really didn't want to be here. The only reason she was taking half of her classes was because they were requirements to be an auror, the pterosaur half she was taking because her parents wanted her to because her brother had taken them. She was so sick of following in her brothers footsteps, of living in his shadows. She hated being the middle child. Her parents focused all their attention to her brother and sister. Did they not understand, that her brother was a grown adult. She understood why her little sister got attention, she needed it so she didn't get hurt, but she was in school, she needed help. Her parents had barely noticed over the summer that she wasn't sleeping, or that she was way out of it. They had rarely even noticed her. One time she went to stay at the Leaky Cauldron, just to see what they would do, she came back a week later and they had barely noticed. They thought she was visiting a friend when she left without tellin them.

Casey shook her head. She needed to focus. She started looking at all the bowls for her compost when she heard the door open.
