Astronomy Lesson 2

Amber stood by her desk admiring the miniature constellations she had replicated. Amber looked around the class room to make sure each student had a sheet of parchment, They'd be needing it. Smiling in satisfaction Amber sat on the top of her desk and waited for the students to come in for the lesson.

He climbed up to the seventh floor and into his Astronomy class. He couldn't even remembr the last lesson, but remembered going into his room and crying after. But he'd recently made a resolution to push all the drama aside and focus on school. "Good morning Professor Jackson."

Making the long journey up to the seventh floor, she entered the Astronomy classroom. One glance around let her know that she was only the second one there, but she shrugged ever so slightly. Giving a small smile of greeting to the Professor, she took one of the empty seats, placing her supplies down in front of her.

Another glance, she noticed the other boy, and gave him a small smile as well, before turning her attention ahead of her again, waiting for the rest of the students to show up.

Skipping up the stairs, she found the Astronomy classroom and pulled her books from her bag before settling down. Astronomy was an interesting class and Peyton loved looking at the stars. The constellations, the different planets one could see through a telescope; they all enticed Peyton and she always looked forward to the classes. After getting herself in order, she noticed the other students sitting there were ones she had not met before. Calling over to them, she grinned. "Hey! Are you guys excited for Astronomy? I really like it, anyway."

Bryn walked up the stairs to the seventh floor grumbling all the way, she really liked astronomy but all the stairs were a killer. Not to mention that the staircase kept deciding to move on her and it took her twice as long as it should to get there.

Panting slightly she straightened her robes and caught her breath before she entered the classroom, she didn't want to show her house dishonor by showing a weakness. Stairs were a weakness, imagine that.

Glancing around as she entered the room she didn't spot anyone she knew, most of the class yet to show. And she was sure she would be late becuase of the ridiculous moving staircase but she had been wrong, she was one of the first ones there. She then took a seat towards the back of the class and waited for class to begin while fiddling idly with her telescope.

Oliver grimaced as he walked up all the steps to the Astronomy Tower, he barely did anything last lesson, so he knew his participation grade would be fairly low for it, but he hoped to be able to resolve that today, he grinned as he took his seat and looked at the tiny constellations, this lesson looked like it would be fairly interesting, he just hoped he remembered enough from the last lesson.

Last term had been alright, but Lucian was hoping to learn more this term. He could remember what they studied....a little. Settling into his seat he looked around the room a bit pleased that there were a few people he didn't recognize. Maybe they would provide interesting answers...speaking of which. Lucian didn't see the amusing Hufflepuff he'd seen last time in class. Shrugging it off he looked at the professor waiting for class to begin.

Jordan climbed the stairs into the classroom and took a seat, she was hoping this would be a good class because she actually liked this, which was rare. She sighed and began to doodle i her notebook before class began.

Rowyn pulled out one of the parchment notebooks she'd made over break. She'd found that regular notebooks tended to let her ink bleed through the paper, messing up her notes. Wanting better notebooks, she'd researched book binding and sewn the parchment together into a simple notebook. After that she'd gone the extra step and transfigured the parchment cover to leather. It was a fairly simple transfiguration, as parchment and leather were both hide, but it had still taken her several dozen tries after she'd found the spell in the library.
Waiting for the class to start, she also retrieved a heavy needle and thread. She was working on a simple embroidery for the cover: the zodiac taurus symbol.
