| Ciel hummed slightly as she waited for her students to arrive. She had a bit of a surprise for them before the lesson began. She counted out fourteen plastic bottles of the potion, setting them carefully in her bag. She set it on her desk and began to write on the board; the Muggle way of course. She drew out instructions for them on the potion they were going to be making, before she made it disappear.
When they were ready to start, she would make it appear again. For now, she was content with them finding out the contents of the small test tube like containers she had. She was eager to find out what each of them smelled.

| The walk to the dungeons seemed like a walk to the gallows but Indiana was probably just imagining himself in some imaginary RPG game. Potions class seemed no different than Muggle chemistry class although he wondered if May would be jealous should she ever find out on the kind of concoctions that he would be learning how to make.
Entering, the youth nodded in greeting and deference at the professor before taking his seat, waiting for the lesson to start.

| Gwen walked into class slowly and casually so noone would notice how tired she was. She may have come to peace with her past but her illness was getting worse and she desperately needed to talk to Riza Stein. She had her hair back and her robes slung over the chair while cramming around in her bag for her potion before taking a sip so she´d stay awake for about an hour before she had to take another one. | |

| After a slight breakfast, Jay walked sleepy towards the potions class. There were many things he would have done better than going to class but he mentally repeated that it was important for his future. When he arrived he enteres the class smiling a bit.
"Good morning" he said at the professor and a yawn filled his mouth while he took a seat next to G. "Hi sexy" he muttered.

| Gwen rolled her eyes playfully and poked him in the side. "Concentrate J,stay awake hon." She whispered before checking that she had everything she needed again. The potion was making her a tad hyper and a little bit jittery. | |

| Thomas walked into the Potions Classroom quietly, he had really loved this subject last term and couldn't wait to keep going with it. He nodded to the Professor, who was definitely a good teacher in his opinion, sending a cheery wave to Gwen, before taking a seat. He took parchment, quill, and ink out, he could always put them back away if they were purely doing a practical. He wondered what they would be covering today, and wondered if it had anything to do with the bag on the Professors Desk. Perhaps not though, it could just be her lunch or something, he thought. | |

| Dimitri strolled casually into the Potions Classroom, he had been long awaiting to see how this class would fare, especially with the teacher, she could be extremely skilled, or extremely incompetant. He sat down next to a Gryffindor boy he followed in, waiting patiently for the lesson to start. | |

| Pamala walked into class quickly and sat down in the first seat she found. That seat happened to be behind a Gryffindor boy.
"Hello," she said to the boy as she unpacked for the class.

| Jaxon wondered for seemed like the thousandth time just why he had opted to take potions this year. He liked brewing them, and actually he was rather skilled at it. Had even invented a few of his own. But the trek from lion territory to snake territory was a long one, and required him to get up earlier to be on time. And he didn't want to risk being late. Even if he didn't like Professor Lycos, he wasn't a masochist. He'd rather not have his head bitten off for not getting to class before she shut the door thanks.
Pausing in the potions class doorway, Jaxon gazed about, seeing quite a few people already there. Including a few of his own Gryffindors. He hadn't seen Jay since he before he had found out from Fallon about the two, and so he wasn't very inclined to grin at the other guy. Instead he gave a quick, "Hello professor" to his teacher and took a seat next to Thomas, the only younger Gryff he knew so far. Thinking on it, Jaxon decided he need to associate with his house more. |

| Reyna left the Slytherin commons and headed to potions alone. She hadn't seen any of the others, and she had no idea where Ryan was. Entering the classroom, she grinned at her professor in greeting and a gave a, "Goodmorning professor" before taking a seat next to a Ravenclaw boy she had never met before. She flashed him a friendly grin. "Hope you don't mind I sit here. I'm Reyna, by the way." She greeted him as she took out her supplies. |

| Ciel waved her wand and the door closed with a subtle click. The students who were late would just have to deal with it. She smiled at her class and began to pass out all the tubes she had. "Now, what I want you all to do is take the stopper out of these tubes and tell me what you smell, alright? Do NOT, and I repeat, do not drink them. They should be fairly harmless, but we do not want to take any risks."
When all the vials were passed out she smiled. Their first dealings with Amortentia. I wonder what they all smell.
"Go on now. Unstop them and tell me what you smell. After we do that, I'll take them back and we'll begin for today." |

| Gwen sniffed it and sighed. haaaaaaaaah.....Amortentia... She shook her head and pulled away from the bottle raising her hand to start, "ehm..I smell...carnations...snow..and...cookie dough?" She said incredulously. Carnations were her favorite flower, snow...well..snow was amazing but Cookie dough? She sniffed again. Yep. Cookie dough, maybe peanut butter, not sure. | |

| Taking the vial from her professor when handed it, Reyna followed directions and took the stopper off. She looked at it for a moment, shrugged and then sniffed at it as instructed. Pulling back, she shook her head slightly. Well, atleast now she knew why they weren't supposed to drink it. She raised her hand after Gwen finished speaking to keep things moving. "I smell rain..and fresh laundrey..and..orange juice?" She didn't really know why shewould smell orange juice, of all things, but she did. |

| Jaxon simply nodded to the professor's instructions and took the tube from her. Leaning back in his chair, he held the tube in front of his eyes, examining it for a few moments, brow arching slightly. Finally, he did as Professor Lycos said and unstoppered the thing, bringing it to his nose and sniffing before a smirk came over his face. Ahh.. No wonder she said not to drink it he thought to himself as he raised his hand halfway to follow Gwen and Rey's lead. "I smell mint..wood..and grass." |

| After Gwen, Rey and Jax he opened his tube and smelt it. After a few seconds he frowned. Two of the smells he had felt were completely okay....but the third...why? He should think about it, but not in class. He rised his hand to speak.
"I smell grass and female perfume" he muttered blushing slightly, at least he wasn't lieing. He smelt Fallon's perfume and the other one was....okay; no thinking about it at class.

| Thomas curiously unstoppered the vial and smelt what was inside, before cocking his head to the side. What kind of Potion might make those scents? He asked himself, he could smell lavender, vanilla, and something else, but he couldn't tell what. He shrugged it off, if he couldn't remember then he couldn't remember, maybe it would come back to him at a later date. He blinked at everyone's answers, it seemed like everyone smelt something different. He then remembered to say what he smelt and rose his hand. "I can smell Lavender and Vanilla." He said. "Oh, and raspberries too." He added, it was another scent he hadn't noticed at first, it wasn't the mystery one though, he then grinned slightly before going back to sniffing at it. The mix of smells was slightly addictive in a sense.

| Indiana looked at the tube that was in front of him before cautiously opening it and using his free hand to wave the fumes towards his nose. At first, the scents were indistinguishable to his sense of smell but after some time, he began to slowly find some distinction while trying to recall what they might be.
"I smell strawberry and... Marigold." he remarked before closing the tube and placing it on his desk.

| Pam didn't know what she smelt from that potion. It was a mixture of her muggle favorite things--baseball, summer (if that could have a smell)--and her magical favorite things.
"I smell the scent of burgers on the grill and popcorn," she said closing the tube.
