Date Night

He watched the waitress give them a strange look and he chuckled as Juniper buried her head in his shoulder. Sighing, he decided to give her a break and removed his fingers from inside her. Taking his other hand, he distributed the cake and ice cream. Taking a piece of his cake on the fork, he held it out for Junie. "Want to take a bite?"

Juniper raised her head as he removed his fingers. 'Thank Merlin.' She thought. Juniper took a bite of the offered cake, her eyes fluttering closed. She made a small sound of approval at the taste. "It's good." She said winking at him and picking up her spoon. "I for one, don't share."

When she removed her head from his shoulder, he whispered in her ear, "We can save that for later." He grinned as she took a bite of the cake. "You like it?" He asked and took a bite himself slowly. "you don't share, do you? Well that seems like it's going to be a problem." He took his fork and swiftly stabbed at her ice cream getting some on it and putting it in his mouth.

Juniper nodded as he asked if she liked it. "It's good." She commented. Juniper's blue eyes narrowed as he stole some of her ice cream. "That's not nice." She said pouting at him. "I'm going to have to take that back." She said smirking at him.

Zack raised his eyebrows at her, "How are you going to take something back which I've just eaten? Isn't really possible, love." He smirked eating a piece of his cake. "So, love. Want to play a game? To get to know each other? I tell you a fact about myself and you tell me a fact about yourself and it goes on and on starting with little things then getting to more important ones?" He asked her still secretly wanting to tell her about his little sister. It had just never come up and he didn't know how she was going to take the fact that he was basically a father.

Juniper rolled her eyes and muttered a quiet "Never mind." Juniper listened to him explain the game. "Alright." She said taking a bite of her ice cream. "You start?" She asked tilting her head. "Or should I?" She questioned.

"I guess I'll start." he offered with a smile. "Well, My favorite color is Green." That was simple enough to start out the game with. Nothing more than that. "Now, your turn."

Juniper raised and eyebrow at his fact. "Since we seem to be starting with soft facts." She said shaking her head. "My favorite color is Purple." She said stealing a bite of his cake. "Thank you." She said cheekily before kissing him on the cheek. "Your turn."

"that's what I said we were going to do first!" Zack said with a mini-playful glare. "So, I warned you. before I said it!" He rolled his eyes as she stole her cake. "Let's see... when I was younger I wanted to be an Auror." Shrugging he said, "Your turn."

Juniper rolled her eyes but grinned none the less. "When I was younger all I wanted was to know why I was so strange." She said shrugging. "When I got my hogwarts letter my mother told me that my father was a wizard." She ate a bit of ice cream half heartedly. "I never really knew what I wanted after that. Your turn."

When June was done with her fact, Zack was overcome with boredom. He enjoyed their date so far, but he had such lust for her. Hand going up her skirt again, he leaned in and nibbled on her ear. "Hey, you want to get out of here? I've never shagged on a beach before."

Juniper raised an eyebrow as his hand traveled up her skirt. "Is that all you think about?" She asked quietly. She almost sighed aloud, she really did like him but if that was all he wanted from her... "I mean we haven't even gotten to anything juicy..." She said. "I guess we can go though... If you want."

Is that what she thought? "No, June, of course not. I don't think about that only. You just seem a bit bored or something, I don't even know." He removed his hand out from under her skirt and held her hand. "I want to do whatever you want because I want you happy. Um.. I think I may be falling in love with you."

Juniper shook her head. "Not bored." She said honestly. "Just thinking about how I never knew anything about my dad before that." She said sighing. Her entire mood perked up at his confession. "Really?" She asked looking up in to his eyes. "I-I think I may be falling too."

He looked at her disbelieving her before he heard her reason. His face fell and his eyes grew sympathetic. "Oh, Junie, love I'm so sorry." He grinned at seeing how she perked up, and he almost melted at her words. "Well I'm glad otherwise I'd be falling by myself." He smiled as he placed an innocent kiss on her lips and pulled away. "I have something to tell you, outside of the game."

Juniper kissed him back, a soft smile playing on her lips. "I'd never let you fall alone." She said, her eyes sparkling. Her head tilted to the side as he said he had something to tell her. "What is it?" She asked brushing her hair out of her eyes.

Taking both her hands in his, he nervously thought of how to put it. "Well when I was younger, my parents both died, well they were killed really. So, I had to take care of my sister. She now lives with me and I'm basically like a father to her. Most girls don't take the news that I'm a dad very well. That might not be much longer though... our Aunt and Uncle are trying to take her away from me..."

Juniper squeezed his hands as he mentioned his parents dieing. She listened to him speak about his sister. She didn't quite understand why most girls didn't take it well. "Girls are idiots." She said shaking her head. "I don't understand why they wouldn't take that well. Do you know why they're trying to take her away?"

Zack nodded, even though he wasn't talking about just girls when he said it. "I agree. They never even got to know her or anything. I think they don't take it well because I'm basically a father and they don't want the 'baggage.' They're trying to take her away because they think I'm not responsible enough. Too 'promiscuous' or so they say." He growled the last part. "Don't trust me with a child I've taken care of since fucking Seventh Year." almost panting with rage, he mustered a smile and asked Juniper. "So, you have any big secrets?"

Juniper looked at him. "I'd to get to know her." She said easily. She loved children so meeting his sister would be great. "It's not baggage, it's a two in one package." She said smiling. "I bet you're a lot more responsible then they give you credit for." She said. "Seventh year? Wow."

"Big secrets?" Juniper questioned. "Hmm..." She said thoughtfully. "After I started Hogwarts I started meeting up with my father." She said shrugging. "I never told anyone."

Zack's eyes lit up. "You would? Really?" He wondered hopefully. Most people he had been in relationships didn't really want to get tangled in with a child. All they wanted to do was shag him and a child just got in the way. That was why he wasn't too big on shagging relationships. "I know I'm more responsible than they think. They were all fine with me keeping her until they found out that I get hoards of money for being her Guardian from their Gringott's vault."

He raised his eyebrow at her, "That's interesting. What is he like? What were your meetings like?"

Juniper grinned and nodded at him. "I really would." She said Still grinning at him. "I love kids." She commented. Juniper listened to him speak about why they were trying to take his sister away. "People these days." She said shaking her head. "So greedy."

Juniper shrugged. "He was married... With two kids." She said stirring up her melted ice cream. "He was nice though. Bought me ice cream the first time we met. He... was murdered my Seventh year though."

Zack nodded knowingly. "They are truly not nice people. So far, they've managed to get every other week from her as if we were divorced and they had fucking joint custody. Molly is even starting to like them. I don't want to know what they're going to do to her when they get the money. Make her a slave or something." Zack shuddered at the thought and took a sip of the wine.

"That's horrible that he had a family while you had to live most of your life without a dad." he said sympathetically with sorrow in his eyes as he said how her father died. "That's not a good way to go. I should know, at least we have that in common though. Not that it's really something to be proud of... Another wine?"

Juniper's eyebrows scrunched together as he spoke. "They take her every other week? Is that legal?" She asked tilting her head. "Well.. We'll just have to do everything in our power to keep her with you."

Juniper shrugged at his comment. "No big deal." She said quietly. "He was happy." She shrugged again. "More wine sounds perfect."

Zack shrugged, "It's legal since they got partial custody in court last year. Now they're fighting for it all. I mean, sometimes I think that it would be a lot easier without her around, but then I hate myself afterward for even thinking it."

Nodding his head, he raised an eyebrow. "Well, as long as he was happy. That's all that matters, right?" It was all that mattered and he was glad Juniper saw that. He waved over to the waitress, "One more glass of white and one of red wine please."
