Buying a drink.

Alexander walked into the Three Broomsticks waving off the shield he wrapped around him to ward off the snow outside, He was a well built man standing 6'2 with rough hands and kind eyes! AS he walked his Black robe with the Ministry insignia flew off and landed on the coat rack. Alex sat down his green eyes sweeping the Diner and was happy to see all good sorts, He was here meeting a old friend who was now Hogwarts headmistress. Alex waved for a waitress a young teen blowing bubble gum as he ordered 2 Fire-whiskeys, The girl nodded before running off and whispered to some other employees apparently his face was well known. Alex wasn't vain he was actually embarrassed that his face appears so often in the Daily Prophet for his many catches and great work. His foot tapped as he looked towards the door expecting his old friend soon.

Aubrey was going to be meeting an old friend, Alexander Eclipse. It was a Hogsmeade Weekend so all of the students were roaming around and exploring. Before she could leave, Aubrey had to get ready. She walked to her bedroom and put on a gold, strapless, short dress and matching heel boots. She let her hair stay down. It grew quite a bit and was now long and flow-y.

Since it was snowing, she had to put on a large jacket to keep warm. She walked five minutes to Hogsmeade and looked around at the shops. After her meet-up with Alex she wanted to get a little shopping done. Maybe even get pampered at the salon.

When she walked in, she spotted him immediately. The same tall guy she knew for a while. Aubrey walked over to him and hugged him. When she pulled away, she slipped off her jacket revealing her dress and changed her boots into pumps. She smiled at Alex. "Hey, Alex, how are you?"

Alex smiled as he hugged her and flicked his wand sending her jacket to the rack and slid her chair out for her "Aubrey it's great to see you again it's been so long, I ordered a Fire-Whiskey for us." Alex sat down looking her over amazed at how well she had grown up and out "I am doing great but enough of me how are you, It's been quite some time since we actually met up." Alex smiled passing two silvers to the Waitress and laid a whiskey out for himself and Aubrey. He was wearing a simple button up shirt and pants and a pair of combat boots, He held a shield Rune around his neck a gift from the Ministry. "So Headmistress it really has been a very long time."

Aubrey couldn't help but grin. It wasn't everyday a guy would put her jacket away for her or put a chair out for her. She sat in the chair and smiled at Alex. "Thank you. I don't usually drink but, eh, today I'll make an exception." Aubrey would rather have a smoothie. Alcohol wasn't really one of her favorites but lately she seemed to be drinking more and more if it.

"I've been doing really well. The school year is progressing wonderfully. Strange that we're so successful at such young ages. We did work extremely hard for the honors though, of course." Aubrey sipped her firewhiskey slowly. "I'm just really glad to see you after all this time. Any girlfriend or wife for you yet?"

Alexander couldn't believe his luck that this young lady use to be one of his closest friend's and had done so well. "Ya never thought we be here where we are today." He shrugged blushing a little as he looked at the ceiling trying to avoid her beautiful gaze "Oh no I been so wrapped up in my work that not many women actually care to wait around, Besides they don't want to be the ones to get the call in the morning". Alex picked up his whiskey taking a deep drink feeling the warmth of the drink run to his finger tips down to his toes "Ahh that hit's the spot good ol heat" He smiled noticing she wasn't too big on her drink and laid a hand on her's "You seem stressed Aubrey can I do anything?" He looked at her his soft green eyes locking with hers.

"Well dear, I think you need to get yourself a woman. You can't be alone your whole life even though I know you're an extremely independent man. It seems like it's nice to have someone to go home to every night." Aubrey was an extremely optimistic person who wanted a family of her own someday but never revealed it to anyone before.

When she felt Alex's hand on hers, she was slightly taken aback. He had never done that before. She blushed but smiled. "No, not stressed. I've actually relieved a lot of stress lately." He didn't need to know about her sexcapades with Zach. No one needed to know about that. It was merely a goodbye anyway. She turned her hand and held his. "Don't worry about me, I'm always happy and my stress level is low lately."

Alex smiled holding her hand as he grinned. "Hey off of women and me let's focus on you instead." Alex looked away he was never very good talking with women especially one as pretty as Aubrey "Hey glad to see your doing well, You seem to have a real good relationship with the students, Many of the parents who i work with at the Ministry or happy your there! They say your a great headmistress and hope you stay there for many many years." Alex smiled ordering two Smoothies and reached out running a finger through her hair "Hey smile for me like in the old days I haven't got to see that light up the room smile of yours in ages."

Alex handed the woman a silver coin and a couple of Knuts for a tip and handed Aubrey her smoothie while still holding her hand wondering if there was really something happening here or if it was sentiment between old friends.

Aubrey rolled her eyes but grinned. "I'm sure you'll have plenty of women soon. As for my work. It's been going well and the students do seem happy, I changed my dress code. I don't have to wear robes everyday. Instead I get to wear my dresses like this one. No one has ever seen me in anything except a dress. The only thing I'm unsure of is the student pregnancies. We have two pregnant right now."

When she saw the smoothies she grinned. Hopefully it was strawberry banana, those were her favorite. She started to drink the smoothie still holding Alex's hand with her other one. She lightly stroked her thumb over his head.

When she finished some of the smoothie, she put it down and wiped her lips with a napkin to make sure there wasn't anything on her lips. Slowly she leaned in and kissed his cheek. When she pulled back she gave him that smile he requested and started to drink her smoothie again.

Alex blushed deeply as his own fingers stroked the back of her hand "Well in the old days didn't they fix that by charming the rooms so the opposite sex couldn't get in, And maybe you can speak to the charm teacher about a spell to keep closeness out of rooms, Remember the old portrait that use to scream when people got too close you may be able to use that." Alex leaned forward giving her a light kiss on her lips before leaning back "Well no wonder the students love you, if you walked around like that all the time I would love you." His eyes twinkled as he smiled at her closing his hand on hers a little tighter while he drank his smoothie.

Alex looked over glad no one was staring at them before he turned his head back to Aubrey "I want to take you out, Paris maybe or Rome both are really nice this year it would take just a second to get there, maybe we could spend a week there during school break." He looked at her waiting for a answer, It was a little soon but maybe they could build on what had started between them.

"Old days? You make us sound like we're fifty. And we still managed to sneak around. Well some of us did anyway." She blushed not knowing what Alex did in school but she knew what she did and who she did. It seemed her past with Zach was coming into her present life and it was surprising her. She thought once she graduated that was all over with but was definitely wrong.

When Alex kissed her, Aubrey returned the kiss. She didn't deepen it but she did kiss him back. "I'm usually really cheerful in class. The students like me there. All I make them do is cook so it's not too much of a stressful environment for anyone thankfully." She squeezed his hand a little tighter, still smiling at him.

Once he mentioned taking her around, she thought back to her date with Demetrius. Guys did know how to woo a girl. Demetrius was moving slow so there was no harm in going on another date. She gave him hand a gentle squeeze. "Let's do it." She kissed his cheek again and pulled back smiling.

Alex nodded as he pulled out his work book and opened it scheduling himself off for a week and placed Aubrey's name into it, He looked up at her and tilted his head staring at her "You know I always noticed in school you were very...active, is there some competition I need to worry about?" Alexander gave her a warm smile as he stared deep into her eyes wondering if he was moving too fast "If you want we can do the movies instead maybe a romantic dinner at the beach in Bora bora?"

Aubrey nearly choked on her smoothie. "Active? As in sexually? Well I didn't start fooling around until I was fifteen and I lost my virginity as sixteen. I've only been with a few guys in six years. Don't worry about competition. You should be more worried about keeping up with me." She giggled and took another sip of her smoothie.

"Don't expect anything from me. I'm not the type of girl to just give it up fast. It does take time to get me. Lots and lots of time. As for our little date or whatever you want to call it. Surprise me. I like that idea." She grinned and ran her fingers through him hair.

Alex smiled letting out a sigh of relief "Aubrey I am glad your not the type to give it up fast I always respected you and I am glad to see you have taken care of yourself, In truth i was always jealous of those boys you did date but i was too shy to ask you out myself, Plus I thought it would hurt our friendship but now I wonder what would have happened if I had the back bone to actually ask you out instead of just watching from the side lines." He leaned down finishing his smoothie his face red after admitting his old feelings for his old friend.

Alex smiled stroking her hand with his fingertips "A surprise huh, Ya I got a few places in mind that would really be nice." He looked out seeing the snow getting heavier "How long do you have?"

It seemed like a lot of the boys Aubrey was friends with had crushes on her when they were in school with her. She never noticed before. She had the guys she dated and she had the guys she was friends with. Alex was one of those guys she was always friends with. He was a close friend of hers and she now knew he liked her and wanted more from her. "You can't go back and change the past, you know that. All you can do is start from here and see where things end up."

"I can't wait until you show me what you have planned." She grinned at Alex and intertwined their fingers. "Alex, I'm the Headmistress. I go back whenever I want to. That's the beauty of having all the power I have."

Alex laughed and slid his chair around to sit next to her "Wow a woman with power is so hott and as much power as you have, As beautiful as a Panther and just as dangerous I have to watch out for those claws of yours, I know you had a lot of admirers and Boyfriends I didn't want to add anymore onto your list, You always needed a friend and I was ok with that but now I have my chance I am not going to waste it." Alex stared deep into her eyes as if looking for her very soul "Amazing what the eyes can tell us and yours speak of untold adventures and many secrets, I won't pressure you for them for that was the past but for now I hope to have you.

Alex smiled as he began to think of places he could take the free spirited Headmistress that she hadn't already gone too, Maybe the Mountains, are down to some exotic island where they wouldn't be disturbed "Well let's do a few dates before we make any big planks, OK?"

Aubrey leaned her head on Alex's shoulder and smiled. "More dangerous than you know." She let her free hand glide up his leg gently and then she placed her hand on his chest. She kissed him again, not deepening the kiss. She was okay with the simple kisses for now. Another thing was she didn't want to get too passionate in public. After all, they were in the middle of The Three Broomsticks kissing. "Take advantage of the time you have with me now. Make up for lost time if you wanted. Do and say everything you want to then."

"I'm happy with that. You probably don't want to move too fast. I like the beach or the warm weather. That would be a lot of fun plus I'm sure you'd love to see my new bikini." She smirked and winked at Alex flirtatiously. She never really meant much by anything but she was a terrible flirt.

Alex smiled as he kissed her back holding the kiss for a second before letting it drop as his own hand stroked down her back "I think the things I want to say and do are for more private places but for now let's just say i always admired you, Smart, beautiful, sexy, wonderful, enchanting, Your the Woman I always wanted but was too scared to go after." He moved his hand up stroking through her hair as he smiled at her hand and took it into his before kissing her once again.

"Those things can only happen if you can handle me." Aubrey repositioned herself and wrapped her arm around Alex. "I think you're gorgeous. I love your hair color and your eye color. Plus you have soft lips for a guy which is always a turn on. So the sexy one here is you. Just don't let it go to your head. I don't want you to be too conceited." She kissed him again, this time allowing the kiss to be just a little deeper before pulling away again and smiling.

Alex chuckled wrapping a arm around her waist "Well I didn't expect this to be easy so I will have to keep up, but don't worry about me If I have a chance to be with you I will keep up with you." Alex looked over at some students who were staring and whispering before he turned back to Aubrey "So where do we go from here?"

Aubrey snuggled into Alex and shut her eyes. "I think you might be able to keep me around for a while, that is, if you play your cards right. You know I want the best of everything and you could possibly be it. Only time will tell love. As for your chance. It's 70/30 and the odds are in your favor." Aubrey was usually one to take control but she wanted to see what Alex had up his sleeve for right now. "You tell me. I'm up for anything...I think."

Alex laughed kissing her neck before he looked outside "You want to go for a walk out in the snow, I could keep you warm." he watched as the waitress brought two more fire-whiskeys, Alex picked up his taking a long drink before he went back to staring into Aubrey's eyes with his own green ones. His hand moved down her arm pulling her a little closer.

"Let's do it. You better not push me in the snow. I'm wearing a dress as you can tell and that wouldn't be very comfortable. I don't want snow up my dress and all of that." Aubrey wrinkled her nose. "And you better keep me warm or I'll beat you up. I'm a very intimidating person." She grabbed her firewhiskey and took a few sips of it before setting it back down. "You know I'm a light weight." She chuckled.
