A walk along the water Empty
PostSubject: A walk along the water   A walk along the water EmptyWed Feb 09, 2011 5:13 pm

Patrick strolled along the waters edge, his mind wandering about many things. Classes, school in general, Alli...all were many important things. Two-Bit, thankfully, was in the castle so there was no fear of him controlling the conversation. Though, even that wouldn't stop him as the memory of the first time Alli and he kissed came flooding to him. They spent like the first half hour talking about that cat.

He chuckled as he picked up a rock and skipped it across the surface. One...two...three...four...five jumps before it sunk to the bottom.

Alli decided that since it had been a while since she'd been at the school, a walk by the lake was in order. After all, it was a rather nice day outside and with nothing else to do, why stay cooped up inside of the castle? Alex was off doing whatever, and she wasn't about to sit around being bored all day. So without another thought, she was up and out of the girl's dorms, heading down the hallways until she reached outside.

She bit on her lower lip in an absent sort of way as she began the short walk to the lake, letting her thoughts take over for the time being. She thought about her classes, which she was promising herself that she would excel in this term, and then Pat wasn't too far behind, soon being the main thing she was thinking about. She'd seen him briefly on the train, but it hadn't been enough to satisfy her missing of him.

Now that she'd thought about it.. the lake. It held so many memories, and she couldn't help but smile fondly as she glanced down toward the ground. By now she'd reached her destination, and all she heard was the silence around her.. glancing up a moment later, her eyes found a figure not too far off from her. Tilting her head to the side she watched as the willowy figure tossed a rock, but after a moment she knew who it was.

With a large grin she made her way over to where he was standing, coming to a stop next to him. "Hey there, stranger." She teased.

It was as if his thoughts had come to life. Pat turned and grinned as Alii appeared by his side.

"Hey yourself," he grinned and gave her a hug. Keeping one of his arms on her waist, he leaned down and kissed her on the lips.

"How was your holiday? I never got to ask," he said once they separated. Her present was actually still in the trunk in his dorm. Merlin, that was embarrassing. He'd mail it to her the first chance he got. Well, except for one. That one he'd remembered to bring.

Alli's grin stayed in place as Pat turned to her, and she couldn't help but laugh when she heard his words. Slipping her arms easily around his neck, she returned the hug he gave her, and happily kissed him back, enjoying the feeling of being close to him again. She'd missed it, that was for sure.

She let her arms fall back to her sides as they separated before she allowed her eyes to meet his as he asked about her holiday. Her shoulders rose and fell in a small shrug. "It was alright. I went home with Alex and Morgaine, it would have been better if I'd gotten to see you though." She said sweetly, leaning up to give him another kiss on the lips, smirking as she pulled back.

"How about yours?" She returned the question casually.

Merlin, had he mentioned that he'd missed the feeling of her lips on his? No? Well, he had. The second kiss was just as good as the first one.

"Mine was alright too," Patrick said. "Mainly spent with Pam and our Dad along with our two kittens. I wish I could have seen you as well."

There was a necklace in his pocket, with the initial A on it. He'd found it while sneaking around in the attic of his house and his dad had let him take it.

"Merry Christmas," he said holding the box out to her. It was small and black, with a red bow on it.

She nodded as she listened to him, content to listen him talking about whatever, just as long as she got to hear his voice. Cheesy or not, she'd missed it, and she couldn't keep the smile off of her face. She was glad that she still got this way around him even after all this time, because after not seeing him for so long, that had been one of her fears. It appeared as if he felt the same way as her still though, so she was able to put herself at ease finally.

"How's Two-Bit? Still causing trouble?" She asked with a laugh. She didn't intend on talking just about the kitten this time around, but the reminder of it made her chuckle a bit. Who knew a conversation could hold so long about one small kitten? Her expression was still amused when she glanced back up toward Pat, but by now he was holding out a small black box to her.

She felt her eyes widening a bit as she looked up at him in question, but hearing his words, a grin broke across her face. "Aw, Bear.." She said softly, reaching up to take the box from his hands. Carefully untying the bow, she slowly opened the box up, her eyes once again widening again when she saw what was inside. "I love it!" She exclaimed without hesitation.

Glowing in excitement, she gave him another lingering kiss. "Thank you!" She said happily, before offering the box back to him with a sheepish smile. "Put it on for me, please?" She asked kindly.

"Yeah, that little kitten's still going round causing trouble," Patrick chuckled. When Alli saw the box, a grin broke over her face but his favorite part was when she saw what was inside.

"I'm glad," he said after they broke from their kiss. "and I'm be glad to." Gently, he unclasped the necklace and draped it around her neck. Brushing her hair out of the way, he put the clasp back together.

"Perfect," he said softly kissing her cheek. "Just like you."

Alli grinned knowingly when he spoke of the mischievious little kitten. "Better keep him in line." She teased, only being able to imagine what Two-Bit had been getting into as of late. He certainly was an interesting character, that one.

She kept the smile on her face when he said he was glad that she loved the gift, and she obediantly turned around so that her back was to him when he said he'd put it on. She tried her best to move her hair to the side, keeping still as he draped the necklace around her neck. Patiently waiting until he clasped it again, she reached up and touched the A with her fingers, still smiling happily. She was sure she'd just found her new favorite thing.

She felt a blush creeping into her cheeks when she heard his comment, and she looked down at the ground bashfully. "You're silly, Pat." She said with a small laugh in her voice, glancing back up to him shyly through her lashes. "Thanks though, handsome."

Alli could feel her cheeks still a bit warm from his words, but she'd pretty much gotten the blush under control, thankfully. She didn't mind the fact that Pat was able to do such things to her, but she still liked when she was able to tone down her skin color to a somewhat natural shade, away from the tomato color.

She kissed him back happily, easily allowing him to link their hands together. She loved the way her smaller hand fit with his larger one, and she gazed down at their hands for a moment before she looked back up at him. He really was one amazing boyfriend, and he made her so happy.. she was lucky to have him, she knew.

Wordlessly she began to walk forward, gently pulling him along with her. Silence was alright between them, for now. Her gaze fell down toward the snow-covered ground as she walked, but she was already beginning to form an idea in her mind as her feet sunk down into the fluffy flurries. Hm...

Chuckling softly as he was pulled by his girlfriend, Pat walked in sync with her. Admiring the snow covered landscape, he loved the way the snow crunched under their feet.

Crunch...crunch...crunch...

Pat...Alli...Pat...

Sure he was silly, but that's what he thought. Mother Nature even approved of them being together.

Alli kept her eyes trained on the ground for a while, not minding the silence between them, and content just to enjoy the peaceful scenery with her boyfriend.

Eventually she glanced back over to him, and was amused to see him gazing down at the ground much like she had been. Figuring they'd been walking long enough, and being in her playful mood, she slowed down until she was at a stop. She began to kick the soft snow with her boot as she looked up innocently toward Pat.

Before too long she was bending down and casually picking up some snow in her gloved hands. Shaping it into a snowball, she gave him a slight grin. "I think I want to challenge you to a snowball fight.." She mused with an even wider grin. She understood it was random, but it was something to do, right?

When they stopped, Patrick raised an eyebrow. What did she have planned? She began to kick the snow with her boot.

"You want to challenge me to a snowball fight?" he repeated, not buying her innocent look for a minute. He began to casually pick up some snow just as she previously had done and formed it into a snowball.

"How do I want to accept your challenge?" he asked, tossing the ball softly. "We both know that the first one thrown means war, right?"

Alliana couldn't help but giggle slightly in amusement when he raised his eyebrow at her, making it obvious that he didn't believe her innocent look for a second. Well, at least he knew her well enough not to believe it. She bit her lower lip before nodding when he repeated her question, but she couldn't stop the happy smile from forming on her face when he also began to pick up snow, mimicking her previous actions.

She didn't really care if her suggestion was childish. It was fun, it was competitive, rewards could be given, and something could be done afterward. She tilted her chin upward a bit so she could gaze up at him as he asked rhetorically how he wanted to accept her challenge. She couldn't help but arch her own brow when he tossed his snowball softly in her direction, missing by a landslide. "Yes.. it does. So therefore, you just declared war." She clarified, then gave him a devious smirk. "If that's how you plan on throwing, I hope you're ready to give me my reward when I win!"

With a laugh she tossed her first snowball at him and made a dash for cover, pausing to scoop up some more snow on her way. "Magic or no magic?" She called over her shoulder, wondering what his boundaries would be. This should be fun..

Merlin, so he had.

"You're very confident aren't you?" he called back ducking out of the first snowball's path. He also made a mad dash for cover, scooping more snow as he ran.

"How about you can use magic to make the snowballs but not to throw them?" he suggested from his hill. As he said it,he was building a snow fort.

What? He was muggle born after all!

Alliana heard his words, and she couldn't help but turn toward his general direction with a grin situated on her face. "Well, obviously!" She called back with a laugh, like the answer was the most obvious thing in the world. She took note that he'd managed to duck away from the first snowball.. she couldn't help but grin smugly as she thought about how many other snowballs would make up for that one miss.

She watched in amusement at the sight of her boyfriend dashing across the open space of snow, up a hill to no doubt take cover. She shrugged a bit when she heard his suggestion, but then remembering that he was a bit too far away to actually see the movement, she called back, "Sounds good!" She could tell from where she was standing that he was already beginning to form a.. she wasn't even particularly sure what it was called.

Twirling her wand between her index and middle finger, she thought for a moment before muttering a charm, which produced about five snowballs at a time. Not bothering to hide she made a run for where he was, picking up her newly formed snowballs on the way. Knowing he wouldn't be paying complete attention while he was forming his.. whatever it was, she tossed all five of them, hoping at least one of them would make their mark.

Hoisting herself up into a tree in one fluid movement (which surprised her, considering how clumsy she usually was) she was content to observe him from above, the grin still on her face. Now, to figure out how to avoid the snowballs, and beat his arse...

"Well then, prepare to lose!" Patrick called with a grin on his face, though she couldn't see it. He wasn't really competitive, but when it came to snowball fights...it was on!

"Kay!" he shouted to her when she approved his partial magic rule. He pulled out his wand and quickly formed a few snowballs. While the ammo was being created, he turned back to strengthen his snow fort. Just then, he felt the wet substance of snow hit his face and torso.

"Cute," he muttered. There had been about three of them; the other two had thankfully missed. "Real cute."

He looked up and saw that his girlfriend was currently in a tree. He smirked. He sneaked around with a few of his freshly made supplies in order to get closer to the tree.

"Payback time!" he shouted when he was finally close enough so that the balls would have a chance of hitting. One by one, he threw them at her. After that, he ran back to the fort to gather more supplies.

PostSubject: Re: A walk along the water   A walk along the water EmptySat Feb 19, 2011 2:44 am

Alliana found herself laughing with glee when she noticed at least three of her snowballs had made their mark, and she could see that Pat was muttering, just couldn't hear what. Shrugging with indifference she noticed just then that he was looking up at her and smirking. She sighed a bit at her own stupidity. Why put herself in a tree with no escape? She really had to think things through sometimes..

One moment he was in her vision and the next he wasn't.. turning around from where she was seated, she blinked and found herself gasping as a snowball flew inches away from her face. "You little.." She said loudly, scrambling to get out of the way. Her efforts were useless though - she couldn't avoid both the snowballs and keep herself from falling out of the tree, and so she settled for allowing a few of the snowballs to make their hit.

She grumbled as she picked a few pieces of snow out of her hair, making a face at Pat's retreating figure. "I'll give you payback time." She called back, slipping out of the tree and stumbling a bit on her feet before straightening. With a flick of her wrist more snowballs were created, and while Pat was preoccupied with gathering things..

Quickly and stealthily she snuck up behind his.. snow bank thing that he'd managed to make, and with a smirk she started tossing the snowballs at his back. Making a dash to hide back behind the tree this time, she thought of a funny thing to do. With a chuckle she mustered up a few mice made out of snow, and with another few muttered words she sent the creatures scurrying toward Pat. She knew he'd said no magic, but she was too tempted to see the look on his face when the mice tried to scurry up his pant leg.

He chuckled as he heard what Alii said in a loud voice. His back was turned to the tree as he was gathering more snow balls. That's when he felt the first snow ball.

"MERLIN!" he yelped as one by one, his back became completely soaked. He jumped as well. After that was over, he heard an odd scurrying noise and felt that his leg on the inside of his pants was feeling rather wet. Looking down, his eyes grew big as he saw snow mice climbing up his pant leg.

"I've got a sadistic girlfriend," he muttered under his breath. Searching for her, he found her behind the tree she'd just climbed not too long ago.

He smirked though. So if that's how she wanted to play, fine. All was fair in love and war after all. Grabbing one of his bigger snow balls, he once again snuck around so that he was behind her. He grabbed her collar carefully and pulled it back. Swiftly, he shoved the snowball down her shirt and then ran back to his defense.

It was then that he noticed that he had no wall to protect him from the rear. He, using magic, began to build the southern wall. The northern wall was already built.

PostSubject: Re: A walk along the water   A walk along the water EmptySat Feb 19, 2011 3:05 am

It was all she could do to keep herself upright as the laughter took over her small body as she heard Pat's yelping. She was surprised she wasn't down in the snow when she saw his face after the mice decided to make their way up his pants. She couldn't seem to quiet herself down, but she was well aware that either way, he was going to find her. After all, she kept going back to the same place.. but that was what made it fun. If she made it too hard for him to reach her, then what was the fun in it?

She straightened up just in time to be aware that he was behind her, but it seemed as if she was too late. In the next moment she felt her collar being pulled back, and she began squirming in his grasp when she realized what was coming next. "Patrick Wood, don't you dare.." She threatened, but it was too late. Snow was being shoved down her shirt, leaving her yelping as she tried to twist away from the coldness dripping down her back.

She finally managed to shake most of the snow from inside of her shirt, though by the time she'd done that, he seemed to be constructing his wall even higher. She stuck her chin out defiantly, deciding to go against the rules he'd set up. Two could play at this game.

Picking up her wand again from where she'd dropped it in the snow, she muttered a charm under her breath to lift chunks of snow near him up into the air. With careful concentration she made sure the snow lined up with him before letting them fall. She couldn't help but smirk, hoping some of it would make it's way into places that wouldn't be very comfortable.

She knew he'd probably scold her for going against the rules, but she was competitive. Besides, he'd stuck snow down her shirt! He had to get some sort of punishment for that.

He could hear her yelping from where he was. Patrick chuckled and even down right laughed at that. Oh he was good!

It was then, when he decided to search out for Alli to aim even more snow balls at her, that he felt it. The icy sensation one gets only when snow was shoved down ones shirt, pants or other articles of clothing.

He jumped. A mile. He started shaking out his robe and diving out of the way of the falling snow. It had gotten all the way down his pants for Merlin's sake!

"Sweet Potter! That's cold!" he shouted. His eyes narrowed, and he sought out Alli. She'd broken the rules but he found himself not caring as much as he would if he was having a snowball fight with his sister. A snowball in one hand and a wand in the other. Hmmm, decisions decisions.

He decided to forgo the wand and just do a volley of snow balls at her, where he could see her. Granted, she had the tree to hide behind but he didn't care. They had to hit some time right?

PostSubject: Re: A walk along the water   A walk along the water EmptySat Feb 19, 2011 3:20 am

Alliana felt her eyebrows raising when she heard the reactions going on from where Pat was, and for a moment she felt slightly guilty for having broken the rules just to get revenge. But she couldn't help the urge to laugh when she saw him jumping around and shouting, yet she moved one of her hands to cover her mouth, swallowing most of the laughter with a bit of difficulty. Oh, she as going to get it with this one..

She stood perfectly still when she felt his gaze falling upon her, and she could tell from where he was that he didn't appear particularly happy.. oops. In the next moment snowballs were being spiked at her. Of course her first instinct was to duck behind the tree and avoid the dangerous things, but then she remembered what she'd just done, and considering he continued not to break the rules..

Sighing she stood in place, allowing the snowballs to hit her again and again. Of course she had an idea in her mind of what she was going to do, but this was her way of apologizing.. for now. The game of course, was still very much on. When he finished spiking the snowballs at her, she put on a rather upset looking face, crossing her arms. Now, to hope her acting skills would hold up.

With the sad look still on her face, she wandered over to him warily, her lower lip jutted out in an adorable pout. "I guess.. I guess you might have just won..." She said unhappily, eyeing him grumpily. "C'mere, I wanna properly apologize for my.. breaking of the rules before." Now, to see if he would fall for it. Hm..

Stopping the volley, Patrick raised an eyebrow as Alli walked over to him. She conceded defeat, and wanted to apologize for breaking the rules. His head was telling him not to buy it for a minute but his heart (and his hands) were saying to buy it.

"What did you have in mind?" he asked walking over to her and wrapping an arm around her waist. That pout was adorable on her.

Focus! he thought and tried to keep his mind off of the fact that he really wanted to snog her senseless. Hey! There's an idea!

All was fair in love and war right? He leaned down and gave her a lingering kiss on the lips, long enough to make her a little disoriented but not too long.

"Cause I was thinking that could be my apology for shoving a giant snowball down your shirt," he said grinning a half grin.

Alliana did her best to ignore the raised eyebrow, knowing that if she focused too much on it that she would probably end up cracking a grin. Then, all her efforts up to this point would be ruined. She somehow managed to keep the neutral look in place even as he wandered over, and she couldn't help but chuckle at his words before he wrapped an arm around her waist.

Placing a hand gently on his chest, she continued to pout slightly as she allowed her eyes to rise to meet his. "Seems as if you already have something in mind." She said with a slight arch of her brow, but then all at once he was leaning down and kissing her. It wasn't one of their typical short pecks, either. This one was lingering and.. well. Distracting. For a moment she almost forgot her intent entirely as thoughts of him began making their way into her brain.

She inhaled sharply when he finally pulled back, willing her mind to get back on track as she listened to him speaking. She smirked a bit while shaking her head back and forth. "So you think you can just kiss me and it'll make it all better?" She mused with an arched brow, but she didn't give him a chance to respond. In the next moment she shifted her arms so that they were wrapped around his neck, and standing on her tip-toes she kissed him firmly. She didn't pull back after the first kiss, either. She allowed her lips to part against his before kissing him a second time, and then a third time.

Of course she knew her method would have flaws in it, such as the fact that kissing him made her feel slightly.. out of it. Not to mention it made her want to forget the pending snowball fight completely in order to continue just kissing him. But barely forcing her brain to work through the slight haze it was in, she finally managed to pull back, biting her lower lip for a moment before speaking. "And I was thinking that could be my apology for getting you covered in snow." She paused before taking the slight pause to bend down, and in the next moment she was shoving snow into his face. "Oh, and I was thinking that could be my apology for that too."

Leaning up she gave him another quick peck on his snow-covered cheek, before cracking a grin and sprinting off down the hill and back to where she'd always been. Oh, what a devil she was. She still wanted to call off the entire snowball fight completely though.. tackling him into the snow and kissing him senseless sounded pretty good right about now. She rolled her eyes at herself but chuckled.

Well yeah that was my---

That was all he could get out in his mind before she kissed him back. Merlin, not just one, or twice. But three times. Three kisses that could make him forget his own name!

He was so disoriented that before he could say anything about the apology, she had shoved a huge amount of snow in his face. She did give him a peck on the cheek but then she ran back to her spot.

"Little minx," Patrick muttered pleased and gave chase. He'd forgotten about the snowball fight. Right now, all he wanted to do was to kiss her until the cows came home.

Who knew his one little kiss (maybe not so little) could do that?
