A walk along the water

Rolling his eyes a little when Alli stuck her tongue out at him, Patrick smiled and nodded when she said that spring was her favorite season. It was then that he remembered that her birthday was in April. How funny was it that they both had favorite seasons in which their birth months fell in?

"Yeah we are," he nodded. He still couldn't believe where the time went. "It seems like only yesterday we were down here having our first kiss." he said looking down at her. "Funny where the time goes isn't it?"

He still couldn't believe that he was going to be a Seventh year. He just couldn't wrap his head around it.

Alliana hadn't even realized that her favorite season was also in fact the season her birthday fell in. And now that she was thinking about it, Pat's birthday fell in his favorite season as well. Purely a coincidence? Probably. It was still slightly amusing to think about, though. She'd never even realized that until she actually thought about it just now.

She nodded slightly when he mentioned them having their first kiss, and she couldn't help but grin. "The lake holds a lot of good memories for us, it seems." She said with a small sigh of contentment, her eyes back on the still surface of the partially icy water. They'd shared their first kiss here, he'd asked her to be his girlfriend here, they'd said their first "I love yous" here.. Switching her gaze back up to his face when she felt him looking at her, she shrugged. "Yeah.. but still. No matter how fast or slow time decides to go, I'm just happy I get to spend it with you." She said sincerely. She wasn't trying to be corny or sappy, just speaking the truth.

Still, it was so hard to actually swallow the fact that in just a few short months, they'd be entering their last year at Hogwarts. It was slightly scary yet exciting all the same when she pondered over what exactly her last year would bring her. Oh, if she could just see into the future.. but then again, what was the fun of that?

"Yeah it does," Patrick nodded. The lake would actually have to be his favorite place of all of Hogwarts, just due to all the happy memories he made down here. First kiss, first girlfriend, first admittance of love...

"I can't imagine anyone I'd rather spend this time with," he told her and it was the truth. He wasn't trying to be corny, sappy or be one of those guys who said things like that to get the girl. He was just saying what was on his mind.

Seventh year. Merlin, he still couldn't believe that that was coming so soon. At least they got another year of this which was always a good thing.

Alliana found herself tilting her chin upward slightly so that she could see Patrick better, a small smile playing with the sides of her lips. "Aren't you sweet." She teased lightly, leaning up to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. She didn't think what he said was corny or sappy at all. Perhaps back when she'd first came to Hogwarts, she would have. But now, it just made her smile. It was coming from her boyfriend, so of course smiling was only natural. And she knew he wasn't saying it just to make her happy.. she knew he meant it, just like she had.

She still couldn't quite believe that Seventh Year was just looming around the corner. Where had the time went? She wasn't as anxious about it, considering she had her brother and Pat by her side. But still.. that year was going to be a whirlwind, that was for sure. She could already picture all the different things that could possibly happen.. fun.

After a while, she decided that they'd been outside a while.. perhaps a change of scenery would be a good idea? She did love the lake, but she was beginning to feel a bit.. chilled. "Hey, Pat?" She paused, waiting until she had his attention before she continued talking. "Wanna head over to Silverstone's and get some hot chocolate or something?"

Smiling back at her as she kissed him on the cheek, Patrick wondered about Seventh year. Would they stay a couple? Would Pam finally stop fake gagging whenever she saw him with her?

Hearing his name, Pat looked over at his girlfriend and smiled when she suggested getting some hot chocolate.

"I'd love to," he smiled. The outside was just a little too cold for his liking just now.

Hearing his response, she gave him a small smile. "I'll lead the way." She said happily, although either way she'd be walking in step with him. Having his arm situated around her waist and hers around his, it was a bit difficult for her to take the lead in anything. But she didn't exactly let it bother her as she wrapped both of her arms around him as they walked, giving him a gentle side hug for a moment before she went back to having a single arm around his waist.

She'd miss Winter, only because of moments like this. Being able to cuddle and be close to her boyfriend.. while she loved Summer, it wasn't exactly the best weather for things like that. Oh, well. The things she thought about... so random sometimes.
